A few things:
We have bought 6 vehicles from Toyota dealers (all Toyotas all new). Normally, they have run pretty well but we usually have upgraded within 3-5 years. My wife has a 2007 Highlander with 70K on it. All the sudden, there are thousands of dollars in engine repairs. WTF? I thought Toyotas were good for well beyond that. Whatever. Anyway, my question is can we leverage our loyalty at all with the dealership (we have plans to buy more vehicles) I'm not sure what to expect there.
Another question is I've heard it's always best to have your financing already in hand. Essentially, you have a set amount and thus can't be negotiated up. But of course, then you have to have your research done and know exactly what the value is of the car you are targeting. Right?
