Former Dallas quarterback Drew Henson was one of four players to workout Tuesday at Dolphins headquarters in Davie.
A budding star at the University of Michigan, Henson left the Wolverines' football team in 2001 to sign with the New York Yankees. After failing to make an impact, Henson left baseball in 2004 and signed with Dallas after the Cowboys acquired his NFL rights from the Houston Texans.
Henson failed to develop with the Cowboys. He didn't play last season after starting one game in 2004.
Other free-agent players to workout for the Dolphins were wide receiver Tyrone Calico (Tennessee), fullback Troy Fleming (Tennessee) and wide receiver/returner Brad Pyatt (St. Louis).
