QB Jacoby Brissett, ARZ (1 Viewer)

Who we rolling him out over this week? Matchup can’t be better. Considering putting in over Old Man Rodgers.
I was trying to decide between Rodgers or McCarthy. Now Brissett will probably get the start considering how bad my Cowboys D has been playing.

I put in a claim for Brissett in a Superflex league and plan to start him if acquired.

Any chance if he has a good game he becomes the Cardinals starting QB ROS?

If the Cardinals are going with Brissett the rest of the way, shouldn’t they just trade Murray? How would his value be impacted by being benched for half a season?

Just posted in the Kyler thread what I'll say here and that is he's hurt. He's not benched for performance or on the trade block. Brissett is not the QB1 for the ROS, just until Kyler is able to return.

That’s one way to look at it. I agree it’s the most likely scenario and definitely the scenario Arizona is putting out there.

And that’s too bad for the Cards and their fans. Murray is a mess of a qb.

With the Murray news today, how many more weeks Brissett gonna start? The news release on this has just been odd. Murray could have played last week. Then maybe only play a little. Then out. Now 4-8 weeks. Starting when? Just been odd overall. Brissett has sure looked the part. Id guess Cardinals offensive players prefer Brissett.

At this rate, the next Murray news drop is he’s retiring to play baseball

I think he’s looked very spry so far, actually more athletic and alert than in other recent iterations at other balling clubs.

Totally agree...this is not the Jacoby I saw last year with the Pats...now it was an awful situation he was in last year but it's not like he is now playing for McVay, Shanahan or KOC...be interesting to see if he can keep it up.

One thing that stood out to me from watching parts of the Cardinals v Cowboys this weekend was Brissett seems to have a strong arm.

I don’t remember him throwing deep but his throws 10-20 yards past the line of scrimmage were on a rope.

Kyler can technically return Week 14 I believe, chances that Jacoby keeps the job the rest of the season? I just lost Penix in a start 2QB and I have a chance to acquire Brissett.

Gotta assume that he's on his 7th team for a reason. Team isn't winning games with him 1-4. Pumpkin time is likely nigh for Cinderella.

His only hope is if they do the Carr/Russ action on Kyler. Bubble wrap him for the off-season.

yeah, but the difference between a 2nd and a 3rd round pick (or 3rd and a 4th) amay not be worth the headache.

it may be a situation where heads roll if they have a losing season. at that point you go with the guy who gives you the best chance to win. if you dont think its Murray, you plant that mans arse right on the bench.

Good call as he’s been throwing picks as well.
If you throw 57 passes, one or two are bound to go to the other team. Brissett, however, had no interceptions in his prior three starts, only one INT all season, and he has the lowest INT rate in NFL history. Only 1.4% of Brissett’s passes for his career have been picked.

Brissett may have his shortcomings, but throwing picks isn’t usually one of them.

It seems like their offense can actually run with Brissett at QB. He can support multiple receivers making plays while Kyler stunts everything. I'd be surprised if they make a move back to him. If Benson comes back anytime soon, the added ground game will make this a fun offense to watch.

I am debating stating him this week w/ Allen on a bye. (UPDATE - Herbert on a Bye...got my two teams confused)
It's him or Dart..who should I roll with?

Dude was a big pickup for me half way through the season, averaging 28 pts per game, but I think I’m going to have to bench him in favor of Bryce Young this week. Ugh. Damn Texans.

I don't have a choice since I have Brissett is two superflex leagues. Just have to hope this game is a trap for the Texans, coming off of a huge win at KC.

Have Brissett and McBride which has been an incredible mini stack for a fair while, rough they have to face that Texans DEF in week 15 of all weeks. Considering benching Brissett for Purdy since they play TENN but that could be a Cmac game.

I wish I had an option as good as Purdy. That’s an automatic switch to me.

I have him in a SF league where I just lost Jones, and my other QB is Rodgers. Luckily he has a decent matchup this week. I legit may start a RB or WR in my SF this week.

Tenn has been stout vs the run dating back to week9. Over their past 5 weeks only given up 2 TDs to RBs.
They are vulnerable through the air.

Have to start Purdy this week. Look what Sanders did against TEN last week. Purdy has a 250/2 as a floor. You have to take that.

Six weeks ago it was Jonathan Taylor who put up 153 yards on 12 carries.

After that it was the Chargers (Vidal, Patterson), Texans (Marks), Seattle (KWIII, Charbs), Jags (ETN, who got early rest) & Cleveland (Judkins has one game over 4 ypc since Oct, 5th - 8 games).

And now CMC who, in PPR formats is likely the #1RB and, is no lower than #3 in all other formats.

I'm not saying to bench Purdy but, suggesting the Titans will contain CMC in any way feels like wish casting.

Heck, considering what a pass catcher CMC is he's probably an argument in favor of starting Purdy.
