Stroud's OC was terrible, didn't let him call protections, wrs going in and out of the lineup and he had to stand behind possibly the worst O line in the league

Pretty nervous for that MRI today ... I at least have Dak as a backup, but in a 14 team Start 1 qb league it is almost impossible to find another qb. About all I can get is Stafford but have to give up Bill to do so
The short of what you said is that we need to trust the player and the team to do what’s best for said player. OK, fine. But, I don’t want a QB who is going to be treated with kid gloves every time he gets hurt, especially in fantasy sports. When you’re missing games and/or you can’t produce when you’re not near 100%, you can’t really help my fake team or your real one.
The sample size isn’t large enough for me to say that Daniels is injury prone. But, what we’ve seen thus far ain’t promising. And, if it continues, my valuation of him is gonna get dinged.

Adam Schefter on ESPN just a couple minutes ago said it would be a major surprise if Daniels is out there playing vs the Chiefs on MNF
He went on to say that it's also likely he misses additional time or games

Washington really over achieved last year huh? This guys frame and lower body injuries just aren’t working well together this year. Getting their *** kicked by dallas shows me how unserious the commanders are this year versus last
Btw, I apologize if I’m being callous regarding Daniels’s health and it seems like I’m calling him fragile/ soft. Thing is, I have Daniels, Burrow, and Purdy as my dynasty QBs, and that was supposed to be my team’s strongpoint. But now, I’m legit having to consider making moves to sure up the position going forward. So, I’m beyond frustrated and that’s where a lot of my thoughts are coming from.

They also entered the year with the oldest roster in the NFL and the 31st team was a full 1+ year younger on average.
Regression seemed like a very possibility, now add in potential leg injuries/lingering hammy issues....

Daniels because he hasn’t had his full arsenal of weapons all year. But Maye’s rise is very very impressive. Can you imagine if he got an elite #1 (no offense to Diggs but his best days are behind him)
Assuming standard settings (4pts per passing TD, .04 per passing yard), I still have Daniels over Maye in dynasty. I just think his running ability gives him another level of upside. Moreover, we have a larger sample of elite output from him (i.e., the entire ‘24 season). But, the difference between the two is closing fast, and it wouldn’t surprise me at all if what I just said looks bad in a month or two. So, I say go with your gut.

Daniels is really killing me this season. I just picked up Daniel Jones off the WW in one league and sure won't be dropping him again with how oft-injured JD is. Unfotuantely I missed out on Dart on the WW in another so had to settle for Flacco.

I also think the Kingsbury offense gets stale after the first year or so which doesn't excite me, and I could see an offense change take place sometime soonish (maybe next year) while I would imagine Vrabel/McDaniels are in NE for the long haul.

Being ruled out this early doesn’t seem to jive with the diagnosis of a mild hamstring strain. But, as Daniels owners, I guess we’re just gonna have to expect this kinda thing going forward.

Daniels. Wash offense was smacked by injuries and nothing Daniels is going through right now doesn't seem to be anything but bumps and bruises. If he had an injury history in college I'd be worried, but the only time he missed anything was after a concussion. Give him an off season to put on five pounds of muscle and be in the "best shape of his life" and he'll be able to absorb some shots better.
I really hope they fire Kingsbury and hire someone who can change the game plan as the season goes along. He's honestly my biggest fear regarding Daniels ceiling.

Give me Maye; but I've always been lower on Daniels/his situation. Yes he's been missing Terry most of the season, but I also don't think Terry is some Chase/JJ/Puka/Lamb tier WR. I agree with most of the takes about why he's down this season; but I don't think people are putting nearly enough weight into why last season went the way it did either. Rookie QBs with wheels have a decent history of coming out on fire as defenses aren't at all prepared for them and DCs have a lack of tape to build their gameplans around. Almost as common is the sophomore slump that hits. Also their schedule was a cake walk last year, not only defensively for Daniels to run/pass circles around; but look at the list of the QBs helming the teams they beat last season. They were constantly in positive game scripts despite not having that great of a defense because of those matchups. Finally, some of their metrics were SCREAMING for regression and definitely aberrations which were never realistically going to get repeated. Their 3rd down conversation rate alone was something like 25% over league average lol. There was a ton of stuff breaking their way, and a lot of played a part in the numbers Daniels was putting up IRL and for fantasy.
I get that everyone who drafted/loves JD wants to attribute every single positive thing to him, and ignore anything that could even be construed as a negative. But I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. Injuries are derailing this season for the whole team, but no one should have expected last year was going to be the new bar either. I said a few times in the offseason I did not get the hype on this team coming into this year. Daniels looked great for a rookie, but he was coming back down to earth IMO even without the injuries. And yes, looking at his build and his playstyle it was hard not to think injuries would be a common thing for him as well.
JD still clears Maye with regards to upside, and probably will continue to do so. But I trust not only Maye's playstyle more, but his surroundings. I think the commies have a long way to go on both sides of the ball, even when what they have currently gets healthy. Pats feel a lot closer. Same sentiments on the staffing as well.

Maye, and it’s not that close for me.
Maye currently leads the NFL in completion rate at 75%, and what makes that even more astounding is that he isn’t doing that on screen passes and short slants. Maye is throwing precision lasers downfield. He may already have the best long ball in the league, and just the eye-ball test shows he can make every throw at a high level.
Further, the running difference between Maye and Daniels isn’t as much as people think. For his NFL career Maye is averaging 31.1 rush yards per game on 6.3 yards per carry while Daniels is averaging 50.1 rush yards per game on 5.7 yards per carry.
Maye’s passing, to me, makes him the better overall package than Daniels. I believe that Maye is the next great one, but I certainly wouldn’t be disappointed if my favorite franchise had Daniels.

But it would be nice to see him perform at a high level again.
I thought I had a nice 1, 2 punch with him and CMC this year and the guy I was worried about was CMC.
