... Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey has a lot to say about the Bills' rookie quarterback. It started back in May, when Ramsey, one of the NFL's best cornerbacks, took a shot at Allen one throw into his NFL career. On Wednesday, it continued, when Ramsey described Allen as "trash."

"I don't care what nobody say. He's trash. And it's gonna show too," Ramsey told GQ.com's Clay Skipper. "That's a stupid draft pick to me. We play them this year, and I'm excited as hell. I hope he's their starting quarterback. He played at Wyoming. Every time they played a big school -- like, they played Iowa State, which is not a big school in my opinion because I went to Florida State, and he threw five interceptions, and they lost by a couple touchdowns or something like that. He never beat a big school. If you look at his games against big schools, it was always hella interceptions, hella turnovers. It's like: Yo, if you're this good, why couldn't you do better? He fits that mold, he's a big, tall quarterback. Big arm, supposedly. I don't see it, personally."

If you ever hear Ramsey miked up during a game he sounds like a total idiot.

Right now I would take Allen over any NFL QB. I do think he takes a few too many chances running late in the game and still trying to bull doze defenders but that is his style. DBs want no part of trying to tackle him.
 
Really had no intention of drafting him or any qb very high, but at pick 37, the way the draft broke, I just felt like the value was still better. At least it should be fun.
 

Josh Allen completed 26-of-38 passes for 317 yards and four touchdowns in the Bills' 41-7, Week 2 win over the Titans, adding one carry for 10 additional yards.​

Like a cheap folding table in an Orchard Park parking lot, Allen crushed the Titans for three and a half quarters in this one. Allen and the Bills got things started in the first quarter when he found fullback Reggie Gilliam for an 11-yard score, but things were just getting started. Allen would later connect with Stefon Diggs on a four-yard touchdown to end the second quarter, and found his No. 1 receiver for two more scores in the third quarter, hitting him on touchdown scores from 14 and 46 yards out. With a 41-7 lead in place by the end of the third quarter, the Bills would mercifully pull Allen, ending what could have been a much bigger day. Allen and the Bills travel to Miami to face the Dolphins in Week 3.

Josh Allen completed 42-of-63 passes for 400 yards and two touchdowns in the Bills' 21-19, Week 3 loss to the Dolphins, adding eight carries for 47 additional yards.

In a game that earned the "heavyweight fight" moniker the hard way, Allen set a new career high for pass attempts by nine. With his pass catchers continually crumpling from cramps in the grueling Miami heat, Allen was lucky to escape with zero interceptions. Without exaggerating, he threw 5-6 interceptable balls. He also fumbled three times, losing one. Playing behind an offensive line that was literally down to its last man, Allen took four sacks and had the Dolphins' line in his face nearly every play, especially after the break. Allen's scores went to Devin Singletary and Isaiah McKenzie, though he could have had more. Gabe Davis committed a drop in the end zone, while Allen had McKenzie for a go-ahead touchdown with 1:49 remaining. Instead, he turfed it and was disconsolate after the fact. It was just one of those days, one that was still an elite effort despite the miscues. Allen did bang his throwing hand late. He required X-rays after the fact but was able to play through the issue on Buffalo's final drive. He told the assembled media he was "fine" ahead of next week's road date with the Ravens.

Josh Allen completed 27-of-40 pass attempts for 329 yards and three touchdowns in the Bills' 27-24 Week 6 win against the Chiefs, adding 12 rushes for 32 yards.​


Allen would not be denied late in the game, functioning as the Bills' most effective rusher and hurtling a defender on a late fourth quarter run to pick up a first down on the way to a game-winning touchdown toss to Dawson Knox. Allen, as usual, peppered Stefon Diggs in the intermediate part of the field and hit Gabe Davis on a downfield shot for a first half score. Allen, leading the NFL in adjusted EPA per play, has piled up 753 passing yards over the past two games -- a nice recovery from a down Week 4 outing against Baltimore in which he threw for 213 yards and a score. He's a fantasy football cheat code with a sky-high weekly ceiling. Allen drafters now face the living nightmare of the Bills' Week 6 bye.

I wanted to take Josh Allen in the first in my 6 PT passing TD league.

I didn’t because “there’s so much value later in the draft” consensus that we always spew (myself included).

I wish I did. He’s an automatic fantasy game changer. And the Kamara’s or Cook’s of the world can easily be replaced off the wire.

Hindsight is always 20/20 but this guy is just so automatic for 300+ yards and 3 TDs and rushing yards to boot,

I have Allen in auction and the rest of my team is busts galore. It is awesome having him if I can just get some average talent around my players but man…I can’t get waivers right.

He keeps crushing it though- shined in the brightest lights yesterday. Could’ve been better if it were not for **** *** McKenzie

I mentioned somewhere in the offseason, maybe upthread, that Allen was assuredly going to be on a mission this year after not seeing the ball in OT in last year's AFC championship game - and he's doing just that.
 
Josh Allen completed 18-of-34 passes for 205 yards and two interceptions in the Bills’ 20-17, Week 9 loss against the Jets, adding nine rushes for an additional 86 yards and two touchdowns.

In a tough outing for Allen, he showcased as a runner with a 36-yard touchdown run in the first half. He threw two ill-advised interceptions and nearly threw a third late in the second half if not for a drop by the defender. The Jets’ front seven turned up the pressure in the second half and it disrupted the whole offensive flow. On a final effort to win, Allen fumbled and the Jets got away with the upset win. Even in a bad performance, Allen was still able to rack up 291 total yards.

Few different fantasy doctors said a 10% production dip for 1-2 weeks, and that last throw makes it seem otherwise. I'd guess it's just sore. He still runs. Maybe less deep shots and more underneath, screens etc for a few weeks. Depends if they are able. Next two games at home important.
 
I’m not worried about the elbow. Just wondering if he’s become color blind. Has thrown 4 of the worst looking picks the last two weeks where a Bills jersey was nowhere near where the ball ended up. It’s like he’s completing routes to the defense.
 
He’s had rough patches before and came roaring back - no reason he can’t do it again as long as his wrist is ok.

Heard two interesting stats this morning...

Since middle of 2021, Allen has thrown 2nd most INTs

In 1-score games, Allen/Bills are 2-7.
 

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Josh Allen (elbow) is likely to be limited in practice this week.​

Allen suffered an elbow injury late in the game against the Jets and will undergo further tests to ensure it's not a serious issue. However, the early thinking appears to be it's not something that will cause him to miss game action. The Bills look likely to be cautious with him in practice, but Allen did not leave the game on Sunday and the injury could ultimately only be a minor issue.

If it's a two week injury for any other team it's a 6 week injury In Buffalo, it's just the overly conservative nature the Bills brass has with injuries compared to a more liberal team in nature such as Dallas.

He’s one of the most capable backups out there but obviously can’t expect nearly the big dual threat numbers Allen puts up.
