You can run 40 times and throw short passes all game also. That’s fine, but it’s don’t expect MVP numbers from him.

No one has to draft a backup (I don’t). As the season progresses though, you’re likely to need a QB though, and sleepers come out of nowhere.

Because they likely drafted him in the 3rd-4th round and needed to fill in with other skill position players while other owners stocked up on QB's. --at least that's my excuse.

Well - in short bench leagues it may not be possible some weeks. I had Tua as the backup but once their bye was over I knew I’d never play Tua. So dealt him for a RB which I needed with injuries and byes. Then of course he gets hurt. Oh well.

I picked up Russell Wilson after he was cut by a frustrated owner, but I'm not too confident in him either. If Allen starts, I'm probably going with him.

Schefter reports that doctors assured the Bills that Allen will not injure his arm further by playing.

As I said before, the Bills are extremely conservative with injuries. Extremely. So if Allen is playing, you can bet that the doctors are pretty sure he won’t re-injure himself. Whether it affects his play or not, who knows. It seems the likelihood is that it affected the nerves in his arm rather than damaged the ligaments. Biggest question is how much does it affect his ability to grip the football properly?
