woefully bad in some big games. couldn't beat out Fromm at Georgia. Looks every bit the same guy as Cardale Jones and other overhyped Ohio State QBs - mostly due to the athleticism, people think that automatically translates to NFL gold. Why do we constantly dismiss history just to be condemned to repeat it?! history says Ohio State QBs always have sucked in the NFL. Why is now any different?! I don't get the love for Fields. even if he was T. Lawrence, Matt friggin Nagy would find a way to ruin the kid's career. so he's in the absolute wrong place for a young QB to be, taught by the worst HC in the NFL , on one of the worst teams in the NFL. He'd have to be a phenom to overcome this. and he's no phenom.
Nagy will start him on day one, because he figures he can leverage the upcoming 4-13 season as 'well we started a rookie so we really need a 2nd year with him to see real progress', just so Nagy can stay thru 2022 season. remember , 10 teams passed on him. If Nagy wasn't so silly and desperate , Fields might've lasted to pick 20 or worse.
