How could I forget the time the Bears were down 3 with two minutes in the game and Justin Fields gets intercepted at his own 5 yard line on a screen pass? That one is a classic.

Or the other time, the Bears were down 3 against the Lions and he immediately fails to feel the pressure and fumbles the ball away for a safety on the first snap of the drive?

Clutch.
Look, I get the hate. FIelds has flaws But there's no way you can paste that INT against TAM 100% on Fields. Getsy ran that play 5 times in the game and 3 times in a row during that sequence. Lavonte David said he knew exactly what play was coming before the snap even happened.
I'm really hopeful that the Steelers can sit Fields for the season to give him some practice and developmental time. He's got a lot of great tools if he can pull it all together. If not, he won't be in the league for long.
That's fair, you can toss that one out and he still has quite the blooper reel. I'm just saying though, I don't think Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, Gardner-Minshew, 75% of NFL Quarterbacks make that kind of throw in that situation.
Whether they audible out or throw it away. It's like trying to blame the coach because a QB throws into double-coverage. Coach made a bad play call, but it doesn't mean you "have" to throw it the screen.
Throw it at his feet. It reminds me of his Quay Jackson INT into double-coverage. The play isn't there but that's the primary receiver so he HAS to throw it there, except he doesn't. One criticism you don't often hear is his willingness to take a small loss to prevent the disaster play from happening.
Like on the Broncos fumble six I posted. That's another play that doesn't need to happen. It's a busted blitz pickup, you're up 7 in the 4th quarter. Take the sack. He tried to throw it away and fumbles instead and the defense scores a TD to tie the game. The defense will have your number from time-to-time, that doesn't mean you need to hand them the ball on a silver platter.
