QB Kyler Murray, ARZ (2 Viewers)

He dropped another handful of spots on FBG ranking... am I missing bad news that would make Murray drop 11 spots the last 3 days?

FBG= football guys, I’m assuming? I just glanced at it and it appeared he was 14th, primarily because some dummy has him at 26th for the week. Two others had him at 8 and 10, I believe.

Monday he was #3.

I don't care so much about rankings, but you don't usually see a nosedive like this without news... thought maybe I was missing something.

Had no interest in him, but couldn’t resist when he was sitting there in round 12 of one of my re-drafts. I don’t share people’s optimism this week or for the first 3 weeks really. Could see this all going #### up tbh

The hype was way out of control.  They didn't address the OL.  A rookie needs that.  Glad I have no stock in this offense.

First game ever and he did well. All the haters can sit down. I know the haters are going to start back peddling.

That was expected.

I was at the game. He didn't look good in the first half, but the line wasn't holding up either. Once they got their stuff together, he looked really good.

After the game, Kingsbury put the early struggles on himself. He said he was trying to be too "cute" early on with the play calling, and he promised the guys at halftime he would change things up and told them to hang in there. Sounds like both he and Murray learned quite a bit this game.

And it's pretty obvious Larry is still the best WR on the team.

One note about Kirk. He was targetted quite a few times in the endzone, but was missed every time. If that continues (the targetting that is), he could end up scoring some TD's this year.

Kyler Murray completed 29-of-54 passes for 308 yards, two touchdowns and an interception in the Cardinals' 27-27, Week 1 tie with the Lions.

He added just three rushes for 13 yards. Murray was, frankly, bad for the game's first three quarters, missing throws that are normally automatic for him while getting a number of balls batted at the line of scrimmage. His interception was a truly horrendous decision inside his own 20-yard line. Without setting his feet, he made a half-hearted throwaway attempt that resulted in an easy takeaway for Tracy Walker. When the Lions went up 24-6 early in the fourth quarter, the game appeared over. That's when coach Kliff Kingsbury's air raid finally clicked into gear and Murray began dropping one dime after another, usually to Larry Fitzgerald. Fitz went 8/113/1, though Murray's most impressive throw was probably his 27-yard touchdown toss to David Johnson in the end zone. There are going to be more rookie growing pains — especially next week in Baltimore — but Murray showed what all the fuss was about this afternoon.
