QB Kyler Murray, ARZ (5 Viewers)

Had Kyler benched this week for Brady. That won’t happen again, especially with the upcoming schedule. Full steam ahead Kyler, Choooo chooooo

:lmao:
Congrats he threw his first td in 2 weeks.   He looked good today no lie.

And I am mainly busting balls on a couple of posters in here that were swearing he is the 2nd coming.  And up to today he hasnt been much of anything.  He was fun to watch today for sure.  Kid still looks tiny and that is going to be an issue going forward IMO

up until this week he has been a lower top 10 qb. in his first 4 games. I think those posters were quite justified. If he continues to grow as he has since week 1, he very well could be qb1 by the end of the season and going forward.

To be fair, the schedule was much lighter the last 3 than the first 3

Kid is rolling. He’s not making mistakes, and he’s accurate as hell.

Cards just finished a VERY weak three game stretch. Will be interesting to see how he does the next four (NO, SF, TB, SF).

just accept that hes a QB1. unless you're going to do this every week. Every qb has a bad week. He did very well. Edmonds made some big plays; they didn't need Kyler's arm today. It's a great sign for the team and should allow Kyler better opportunities in the future.

I'd you're watching box scores.and that's it, sure he looks bad. But if you actually watched the game, he looked great

I won in the league I have him and subscriber contest I was able to depend on Goff's big week

What does that have to do with NFL Murray?
you ask quite a few personal trade offers in your posts (Diggs, McLaurin, Goff for Hopkins and Watson recently). I even helped you out on those rather than make a snide comment or direct you to the AC. I'm surprised to see this from you.

It has nothing to do with NFL Murray. but it was in response to Pantherclub who seemed to try a "gotcha" for me. Dont care if he had a bad scoring week because he looked good and I still won/advanced

...an offense that, in large part because of the weather, never was going to be able to count on Kliff Kingsbury’s “precision passing.”

“That went out the window,” Kingsbury said.

“It was ugly football at times,” he added. “That rain never stopped. I don’t know if I’ve ever been in one where it constantly poured.”
Daniel Jones lost 2 of his 3 fumbles and had an interception on the day.

A sloppy/rainy day. ☂️

It happens.

Even more than Roto says, I'd actually take this as a game script week, and it might really hurt me in one of my leagues.

While not a backer of Murray, this wasn't on him. Edmonds had three longer runs for touchdowns in the game, and the other side wasn't exactly pillaging or plundering either.

He is a fringe qb1 at best dude.  The numbers dont lie.  He has 9 tds in 7 games.  9.  Like I said last week I am more or less just laughing at the ridiculous expectations that were put on him by you guys before the season.  Remember he was going to shatter the rookie records?  Just last week you said he could still be the #1 overall player.   He is a dink and dunk passer that hardly ever runs.  In fact the run I saw where he took off and tried to turn the corner and the linebacker was step for step with him so that skillset may be a bit overrated as well.

Also I have no clue what you winning has to do with Kyler murray

you realize we are talking about a rookie qb right? through not even then first half of the season. The fact that he is in the QB1 conversation is awesome

He is QB8 right now by my leagues. Last time you and I spoke I think he was qb10 or 11. He continues to rise.

How is he going to rise after scoring 8 points?

Look I get it, you guys are high on him and he may be all world next season or 2 but the way you guys were talking about him was just insane.  He was going to be the #1 OVERALL player this year.  Thats what a lot of posters were saying.  Breaking records etc etc etc.  Not only that he was going elevate David Johnson to the #1 rb.  I am simply pointing out that putting that much faith in a rookie in a system that we have no clue if its going to work, on a bad team with a horrible oline is a pretty bad fantasy strategy.  But congrats you keep rolling him out there and he is going to have some good weeks.  I hope it works out for you.

In one week, where several other QBs had bad games (and played bad). Murray

One poster said he would be the #1 overall player, and he could be. I think he will finish as a top 5 qb

The is qb8 right right now (I expect qb9 after tonight's games). He has out performed several guys drafted ahead of him. Drafting him in a rookie system has shown to be a great strategy already.

David Johnson as the #1 RB was from one poster as well. Sounds like you've got a bone to pick with him.

If you're still calling Murray a failure, bust, whatever... you're not paying attention

Please link to where I said he was a failure or bust.

I laid out my position on this quite clearly above.

to call a guy "unstartable" is practically saying hes a bust.

Oddly enough you dont paint with such broad strokes when I asked if you felt Rodgers was startable. Prior to his historic week Murray was outscoring Rodgers. Yet guys continue to trot him out.

I'll let Murray's second half of 2019 speak for itself. I dont know why you are still beating this drum;its okay to be wrong. I dont think you even own him anywhere, but for some reason you spend a lot of time as the only voice in this thread of negativity or criticism.

He is more startable than 24 other nfl qbs. He is a QB1. Not a fringle qb1. QB8 so far, in his rookie year, rising as the season has gone on. He was in some terrible conditions yesterday and didnt play poorly, yet you want to hold it against him. I am 100% certain you didnt watch a single snap of that game. Its not worth having this discussion with someone who just watches the box score. Best of luck to you this season with whomever is your starting qb.

If you watched the game, a rainy/raw day, the same system that gave us a 9-0 game in Washington.  Murray was fine, not asked to do much but he didn't make any mistakes.  I started him and hoped for a bigger better day, which would have happened with decent weather but the giants couldn't stop the run at all so they never needed to pass and the giants couldn't score so there was no need to put up points late

Still not sure why he got pulled late. Clay doesn't get tackled early (inside the 10 I believe) on that bomb, and Murray has a much better day. The play calling was not very good throughout. That is NOT on Murray.

agree. I didnt see anything from him that would make me question his hit status. This is the tough part of his schedule so we may see more games like this for the next 2-3 weeks.

I'm stuck with him in a horrible matchup next week due to Goffs bye. Here's hoping he pulls out a rabbit

They also should've been set up one drive on around the 5 yard line.  That was clearly PI on Kirk, and they initially threw the flag then picked it up for some reason.

Pretty sure the game was out of hand they were just waiving the white flag.

This team must be setting records for stalled out drives. Week after week they settle for short FGs.

Pretty sure they were down 2 scores at the time. How is Murray supposed to develop if he gets pulled from games like that. He wasn't getting beat up. He wasn't turning the ball over. It was Kingsbury's suck a** playcalling that was holding them back. No wonder why his college teams put up numbers but never really won anything. He is a major reach as an NFL coach.

I agree that the coach looks more of a rookie than Murray. I will give it some time but so far he hasnt been too impressive

Their short yardage play calling is beyond awful.  They never run, never get Kyler on the move or take advantage of his speed.  5 wide, quick throw into tight coverage, settle for FG.

Then I watched the Texans game in the late window and every short yardage or inside the 10 situation and Watson was bootlegging out and the defender had to make a choice to take away the run or leave a guy open.

ETA: They convert only 8% better on 3rd/4th down and 3 or less (59%) than they do on 3rd/4th down and 6-9 yards to go (51%).  There should be a much larger gap there.

I have no idea what sort of league you play in but he's #9 in my league.

I figured you were just an angry poster for your own personal reasons but is it possible your posts in this thread are based on nothing other than YOUR league scoring?

He's facing SF this week so he's got the worst match up of any QB so I figure you will come in again with your pathetic posts as soon as the game is over.

Sorry for you in advance if your posts are not based on your league scoring.

Yeah duh, we are talking fantasy here and I am just poking fun at the posters that went nuts saying he is going to be the #1 player overall, others were saying as recent as two weeks ago he would be top 5 etc.  Just showing how nuts it is to throw out these asinine predictions.  If people are still starting him due to anything but a bye week stop gap then that is on them.  As I said before he is not a QB1 in fantasy.  Maybe that changes next year but his dink and dunk style, the horrid oline and the red zone play calling are too big of an obstacle for this year.

He is 15 in my league at 177 total points.

Oh your THAT guy.  You feel the need to teach lessons huh?  Lol.

Unless you're in a "roster only one QB" league, he's still a potential starter.

He wouldn't be your first choice but if you waited on a QB and other teams took a second before you took your first, he might be your starter like it or not.
