QB Quinn Ewers, MIA (1 Viewer)

Not saying he’s going to be great, but he has one of the strongest arms and prettiest throw I’ve ever seen. No wonder he was a perfect rated #1 recruit coming into college.

I don't get it. Everything I've seen out of this guy screams NFL bust to me.
I honestly think there is a better chance he gets benched than there is he's QB1 in this class. Hell, I think 1st round is probably pushing it. I think all 6 guys from the 2024 1st round were better prospects than Ewers, and I wouldn't be shocked if he was QB5 or so in this class, and this isn't a good class.

Bust is too good a term for the previous players draft first 3 rounds compared to him. He had so many flaws those around him made them good.
Wait for Texas now in SEC to play defenses that have NFL caliber players

What’s the attraction?
I think Sark does him a lot of favors. Good scheming. Ewers is really accurate on those bubble screens and such.

But when it's time for the big boy throws, I have not been impressed. I think his touch is really good, and he likes to feather balls down the field, but you can't be Chad Pennington out there.

Has work to do on mechanics, which I predict people will discover, and start talking about, when it's draft time. I watched the every throw vid from Bama last year, and if you watch his feet, when he releases the ball, they are parallel to the LOS, a lot. That's not good. He might completely clean that up, after all, he's young. I'm keeping an open mind, but I saw some glowing tweets yesterday, and I think people are just excited to hype someone up.

What's with his legs and release that people are talking so negatively about? Guy was supposedly special and now he is questionable? I'm lost

Coming into this game, Quinn Ewers was averaging 5.65 air yards per passing attempt (121st in the FBS).

Following the INT, he’s averaging 4.9 yards per attempt and 0.4 yards per completion so far tonight.

Future NFL backup at best.

This whole QB class is fool's gold if taken early. I would rather wait until Day 3 to take a shot on any of them.

Dynasty rookie drafts are going to be interesting in the off season. Looks like the QBs are going to be that attractive and the feeding frenzy on RB/WR might take up the entire first round.

Not only are the QBs crappy, the WRs are not deep. Neither are the TEs. It's the year of the RB mostly IMO.

Yeah, I can see a huge run on RBs early but owners will always chase the new toy at WR

Watching today's game... he should probably transfer.

Does not look like an NFL arm/decision-making. Every deep throw just hangs and hangs and hangs...
