QB to overcome pressure this week: (1 Viewer)

phillzphan,

I didn't catch Mike & Mike this morning, would you mind summarizing why they felt he would 'overcome pressure' this week?

I know that Warner has historically had a lot of success against the Falcons, but their defense is pretty tough, and Warner was abysmal last week.

Well since he was almost bench he has a lot to prove. Atlanta rush D is hot so look for them to need to go through Warner.

So, Atlanta is good at stopping the run, and Arizona can't run, plus their line sucks, and this is supposed to be a good thing for Warner?

Why do I have visions of Warner's face super-imposed on a golf ball? Oh, that's right, because the Atlanta defense are going to tee off on him all day. I don't like this match-up, and if Abrahams is back stay away!

Sorry, this isn't a personnel attack against you, just rebeling against some other fantasy analysis I've seen elsewhere saying this is a good start. I just don't see it.

I may play Warner - and the Atlanta D. Everything will depend on the health of Atlanta's def starts, especially Abraham, Hall, etc. If the pass rushers and secondary guys are healthy, this is not a good matchup for Warner. If they are not healthy, then Warner will be upright long enough to have plenty of chances downfield. Would not be surprised by a big game from him at all.

I'm planning on starting Fitzgerald and the Atl Defense. If they tee off on him, great. Just get the gd ball to Fitz!

Well, since I didn't get any opinions in my other post, do you think they put DeAngelo Hall on Fitz or Boldin in this game?
