Common value picks for QB:

Jake Delhomme - pretty poor outing

Jake Plummer - absolutely destroyed one of my teams this week

Trent Green - in the hospital

Brett Farve - absolutely destroyed another one of my teams this week

Aaron Brooks - thank god he's not on my team... 7 sacks and 6 completions?

Drew Bledsoe - didn't look so hot either

Obviously it's week one, so some of these guys will step it up in the following weeks. The question is, who?

I'm giving Favre a mulligan this week. He gets one more shot this week - at home v. NO. I am cautiously optimistic for 250/2/2. If not then I get worried. I like that Ahman is running well.

Green - tough to say he's a bust. He got knocked out. Jury's still out on that one.

Brooks - tough call here. I'm dropping him in one of my leagues for someone (Pennington's still out there). AB's always been the "King of Garbage Time", but there's no garbage time if he gets pulled. I don't like the Raiders O at all this year, but keep in mind the Redskins start last year - they finally opened it up and Brunell improved.

Bledsoe - I see his chemistry with Owens improving, so he'll get better. Jax is a tough D and Dallas is a good team.

Plummer - I have to admit I was very, very surprised at this one. Jury's still out, I've heard some good things about the Rams D this year so maybe it's something like that. Not a good game at all though. If Walker is out for any amount of time I'd be hesistant to rely on him.

Delhomme - definitely gets better. Steve Smith is a great WR and Atlanta's D could turn out to be top 5 this year. Disappointing that he couldn't get anything going though.

Leftwich - rushing TD, passing TD

Carr - 200+ yards, passing TD, 25 rushing

ASmith - 275+ yards, passing TD

Don't know stats on the norm,

but I'd say it was a pretty crappy weekend for QBs in general.

Only 7 threw for more than 250 yrds (Pennington, McNabb, Warner, Smith, P.Manning, Grossman, Culpepper)

Only 7 threw for more than 1 TD (McNabb, Warner, Batch, Pennington, E.Manning, Brady, Vick)

[Guess you can add 2 more since Leftwich and Frye ran for 1 and threw for 1].

And in high performance leagues (obviously depending on the scoring) only 5 scored more than 20 FPs (McNabb, Warner, Batch, Pennington, Vick) and only 4 more scored above 15 FPs (Leftwich, E.Manning, Smith and Carr).

I agree with this -- exc. the eye roll. It's week one, people!!! And this is coming from someone whose three starting qb's each scored three points or less. :(

Exactly. And I would venture to say that anyone who has him got him late.

Are you serious?Get rid of Brooks in a hurry and grab Leftwich!!!! Not only is Brooks bad but his O line is even worse.

I got burned by my top QB's and I was hoping that would be one of my strong points on my team. I had Culpepper, Favre, and Frye(not too bad with 2TDs).

However I was scared with my depth at RB and had good performances from all of them. They are SJackson, Deuce, Maroney, and Henry. Now I hope to pair my RBs with my WRs and hope to get a good performance from my QBs because having bad QB output will derail a talented team.
