Question about fantasy magazines (1 Viewer)

I don't look at fantasy magazines since FBG is my source for info. Most in my league use the magazines. My question about the magazines are the cheatsheets. Do they provide a general cheetsheet or to they have several tailored for different scoring systems, specifically for my case PPR. Thanks.

Most magazines will have a few different cheatsheet versions. Usually one for a basic TD heavy league (although I don't know who plays in the type of league anymore), a performance league, and I think you can generally find PPR version as well. The biggest difference between an internet cheatsheet and an old magazine cheatsheet is that they're terribly out of date. They may not even include people like Ricky Williams or Brett Favre. Rookies are generally ranked lower in magazines. If people are drafting from magazines and haven't at least gone through the trouble of getting the free updates that many magazines offer, you'll be able to get many good players well below where they have them ranked. On the other hand, your league mates will be taking guys who have injury questions, or other issues well before they need to, guys like Chad Johnson, Manning, Ronnie Brown, etc.

Here's the top 25 for a PPR league from a random magazine:

- Tomlinson

- S. Jackson

- Westbrook

- R. Moss

- Gore

- Peterson

- Wayne

- Brady

- Colston

- Addai

- Owens

- Jones-Drew

- Bush

- Barber

- A. Johnson

- Marshall

- S. Smith

- Welker

- Fitzgerald

- Manning

- Edwards

- McGahee

- Houshmandzadeh

- Portis

- Grant

I don't do PPR so I don't know how this compares directly, but I suspect this top 25 is way out whack with a more recent FBG PPR listing. Use it to your advantage.
