Question about new IDP tool (to make sure I'm using it properly&#3 (1 Viewer)

Regarding Larry's new IDP matchup tool, let me be sure I'm using it properly.

So, I go down to IDP TACKLE OPS MATCHUP ANALYZER and select the offense my IDP will be facing this week, plus his team under defense. Then, if it shows up, say, red on his team but green on the offense, that's a good sign because it means that his performance up to now was against relatively few tackle opportunities but this week he'll face above average? Taking Stewart Bradley as an example, that's just what you get (except under offensive snaps for Dallas).

Clearly, there's a lot more to consider than just that, but given the limited goal of the IDP matchup tool am I reading it properly?

I wanted to point out here that poor Larry is without power due to the high winds in Ohio and did PM regarding this. I didn't want anyone to think he was ignoring a subsriber's question!

Basically, the above is correct. He didn't elaborate too much as he was using generator power!

Yep, somehow Norton and I got our power back on in just a few hours yesterday. Most others in Ohio and the surrounding areas weren't so lucky.

Unless you're unlucky enough to have a tornado on your doorstep, we don't get to see 75mph winds in Ohio. Was crazy around here yesterday.

Larry, et al,

a) I hope Ohio has electricity again!

b) I'm working on my lineup for this week so let me check again to make sure I'm using the IDP matchup tool properly (for those of you who aren't subscribers and don't know what I'm talking about, this is why you should subscribe!)

Let's say I'm thinking about starting Yeremiah Bell. First thing I did, on the first tab (under "IDP TACKLE OPS MATCHUP ANALYZER"), was put New England in on offense and Miami on defense. It shows--I think--that New England has been generating 51 tackle ops per game (marked as yellow since it's average) and Miami has faced, by coincidence, 51. So, off the start, one would have to think that Yeremiah Bell should score somewhere around his average (although you should also check the running vs. passing tackle ops, depending on where you expect Bell to get most of his work). Right so far?

If I then do the same for my other db's, Gibril Wilson and Quintin Mikell, I find that Wilson is facing a team (Buffalo) that is generating four more tackle opportunities per game than Oakland has been facing and Mikell is up against a Pittsburgh offense that has been creating 50 tackle ops, while he has only been getting 39.

Clearly, there's a lot more to do in determining who to start, but my question is just this: am I reading the data from that first tab correctly???

Thanks!

Thanks John, I have mine back, but others are not as fortunate, still limping along with internet card, should get my internet back sometime late Monday.Yes sir ... that is correct. Same concept with the Sack Op analyzer. I apologize, I should have gotten back with you earlier with a more detailed explanation.
