Does anyone know how many teams from the wildcard weekend have made the Super Bowl or better yet a list of those team?

Not wildcard teams but teams that have to play 3 games to get to the Super Bowl. Thanks.

I think that's it.  :oldunsure:

Under the current eight-division format with 12 playoff teams that began in 2002, teams playing in wild-card games have made the Super Bowl eight times: Carolina in 2003, Pittsburgh in `05, Indianapolis in `06, the Giants in `07 and 11, Arizona in 2008, Green Bay in 2010, and Baltimore in 2012. Six of them won the title, with only the Panthers and Cardinals failing, both with last-minute losses.

Giants in `07 and 11
just a quick thread hijack, amazing that Peyton will be remembered as the greater NFL QB in the Manning household, but Eli beat the GOAT twice in the Superbowl AND did it without a bye. just amazing. hate to be Peyton at the holiday family dinners.

Lol

I'm guessing Peyton is doing just fine.

Winning a SB without a bye is certainly impressive.

But let's not forget NE averaged 36.8 ppg in 2007, NYG held them to 14.  They averaged 32.1 in 2011, NYG held them to 17.  Their defense is the main reason they won both those years.
