R.Curry, D.Bennett + K.Walter (1 Viewer)

- R.Curry in my mind is the #1 option in Oakland. I think J.Walker is all done at this point. I think he could go have 70 rec receptions, 900 yds and 5 td's.

- D.Bennett is now the clear #2 in the healthy Rams offense. I could see him and Bulger hooking up quite a bit.

- K.Walter is looking pretty solid as the #2 option in Houston.

Any thoughts

Not sure I would qualify any of these three as "sleepers". (Value picks might be more accurate)

That said, I've managed to pick up Curry in quite a few leagues this year

Count me in for Walter as value pick and, to a lesser extent, Curry. I worried about Bennett though. Historically, Al Saunders offenses have had a lot more success in the running game, with passing games improving in subsequent seasons. Maybe we could chalk it up to his reputedly complicated playbook.

I'm kind of neutral on Curry. Passing offense looking ultra-weak.Bennett has been underwhelming for his career save for a Monday night blowup. Wouldn't be surprised if one of the rooks passes him up, sooner than later.Walter is a very nice value pick. In an up-and-coming offense, which stands to be playing from behind a fair amount of the time.

I'd wouldn't mess with Bennett those 2 rookies and McMichael will cut into his production quite a bit.

Walter is a great #3 for a lot of fantasy teams. While we would love studs at all positions, thats not realistic in most leagues. At some point, you need to pick your poison, your weakness, what have you...

If you end up strong at the other positions but without WR depth, a guy like Walter is a nice 3... he wont go nuts for upside, but will get a lot of looks, some TDs and is in a very nice situation for 60-90 yards with a 40-50% chance of a TD any given weak. Some consistency and just enough upside as opposed to a huge hit or miss player as your #3.

Just my thought. Sometimes you need that role, sometimes not (I unfortunately do in a league where after Steve Smith Im very shallow at WR).

Of those three receivers, I like Kevin Walter the best by a good margin. In his first year as a starter he posted 65-800-4, and in the preseason he has led the Texans with a line of 13-166-2. (Looks like he is picking up where he left off last season) As for Curry, if I were considering a Raider receiver I would rather target tight end Zach Miller. I think Miller could lead the Raiders in receptions. Meanwhile, Bennett has a bad track record of durability issues, and is currently nursing a hip flexor. He is sitting in a great opportunity given the exit of Isaac Bruce, but my gut tells me he won't be on the field enough on Sunday to seize it.

How about Daryl Jackson DEN?
Spelled Darrell I believe, no matter as D-Jax can not stay healthy.Curry is a good value pick as your 4th or later WR. He could be a nice backup for a team.
I hear rookie Eddie Royal is going to be starting at least until Marshall is back, and possibly along side him after, if he continues to do well. FWIW.

Walter was a value pick early drafts! Can;t get near him the past week. His ADP has sky rocketed since the 100 yard td pre season game and he is gone by 11th round if not 9th or tenth. I keep passing up waiting hopeing to get him 13 or 14th but no luck!

Curry is still a nice value pick. As is Bennet but now you posted this and roto world announced he should lead raiders with at least 60 catches I expect Curry to move up a few rounds too. Bennetts situation I don;t like. Too many backs in the equation for touches. I still got him several teams late rounds of deep leagues.

Walker can be Houston's version of Wes Welker, especially if AJ gets hurt again..Bennett is a one year wonder, he hasn't done anything in years now..you're dead-on with Zach Miller!

I actually think Curry might have the best value and the potential to be a WR2; he is a good receiver and should see less coverage with Dmac and Walker on the field. It depends on Walkers performance.

Walter should be good for WR3, obviously even better if AJ gets hurt.

I think Bennet will have a hard time getting touches, maybe as value play in deep leagues during Marshall's suspension. After that Cutler will be spreading the ball around too much.

Wrong Bennett, I think...

No WR Bennett on DEN anyway. Royal is the rookie WR starting (maybe he was thinking of rookie Bennett who is with CHI?), and while Marshall is out it'll be DJax starting.I too like Curry now that Carter is through and Javon Walker is not acting like a WR1.

I'm sorta meh on Kevin Walter. He was 65-800-4 last year and that was with AJ out for half a season. I think that with AJ playing a full year (presumably), and TE Daniels now in his 3rd year and likely to show some more improvement, Walter's numbers are going to decline.

As for Bennett, I agree with those who see him being a bit of fools gold. He may start well, but as the season goes along Avery and Burton are likely to eat into his production. I don't see him being better than about a fantasy WR4 or WR5 once the first month of the season has passed.
