Was wondering how Dayne looked. I need a rb in the worse way right now. I have Westy/Green/James/Betts/Norwood Is he worth a pick-up for that Mia dolphins defense or should I go with James and like Norwood in case Green is out. Or even if Green is in, is Dayne a better option if I pick him up.

Ron Dayne looked very much like ron Dayne. A big back who is not good in short yardage, but occassionally flashes something, but generally gets no more than what's blocked. As long as Green is out he will get the bulk of the carries and even when Green returns he is probably good for 10-12 carries. Not saying he will do much with them, but depending on your league, there maybe value in having a RB who will get the ball.

I thought he looked like the old Dayne yesterday and not the guy who tore it up in his four starts late last season. Some of that might have been due to play-calling, though. He was pretty good in the first half (48 yards) but then got taken out of the game plan in the second half. I didn't think that was a well-coached game by Kubiak and I'm not just saying that with regard to Dayne but there were other parts of the game where I thought he failed and hurt his team's chances to win.

I wasn't shocked that a team missing the four offensive players most capable of making a huge play lost a football game, but the passing game held up its end for themost part. Except for one run, there was not alot for Dayne to get. the Texans defense did not play well either. Poor performance except for the aforementioned passing game.

Schaub is pretty darn good. What I like about him is he clearly has the ability to make those around him better. He's working with training camp castoffs and they're putting up good numbers. He's got that Favre-esque ability to make his WRs better. That's why I posted the thread two weeks ago that I thought he would exceed expectations without Johnson and so far he clearly has. What I didn't like about Kubiak yesterday was his decision to kick the FG late at the Atlanta 1. It was clear his defense was terrible and wasn't going to stop the Falcons so he needed to score as many points as possible. A TD there would have been huge and I thought Kubiak played not to lose as opposed to being aggressive and playing to win.
