RAIDERS @ BRONCOS - Game Thread (1 Viewer)

That was a clean break up. Fans are idiots for booing the no call.
Except for the part where Routt was pulling on Lloyd's right arm and then put his body into him, I agree with you.
 what alternative universe game are you watching? That was completely clean. slow it down if you want.
Usually if the DB doesn't know where the ball is--Routt didn't--even the slightest hint of contact draws a flag. That play is PI in the majority of cases where you see it.
Under no interpretation of the rule should that have been PI. He did play the ball. He put his hand right now the dang thing. Seriously, all these offensive-minded rule changes have warped peoples sense of reality.

Not sure what to say to this. If you happen to see the play again, don't look at anything except Lloyd's right arm. Tell me that he isn't being restricted by Routt, who isn't playing the ball because he had no idea where the ball was. He was just reaching up when he saw Lloyd and reacted to that, and made a good amount of contact.

DHB could have caught that ball in bounds...scratch that...many other NFL WRs could have made that catch.
Admit it, it would have been tough. To make that catch would have meant torquing his hips and doing a little ballerina tip toe dance. That wasn't an easy catch.Oh and he actually caught the ball :jawdrop:

Easy to pile on DHB all the time. The throw led him out of bounds.
Agreed. Not sure why so many are blaming DHB. Sure he could have caught it in bounds had he made an incredible catch but he had his guy beat cleanly and Campbell has to put that where he can run under it. Should have been a TD and Campbell blew the throw. DHB could have possibly corrected it with a marvelous adjustment but we all know he isn't that guy.

I saw no pull or tug on Lloyd's arm nor any that leads to believe that Routt impaired the catch illegally.

Is this guy Lechler the best ever at the position?
Not even in the Raiders franchise. But he's getting close.
Ray Guy
Not a fair comparison, really. He's probably the best punter who's played the game.
It's a travesty that Guy's not a HOF'r.
Some factoids I came across on his Wikipedia page:He's the only punter to ever have been selected in the first round of the draft.

He just declared bankruptcy last month and had to put up his SB rings for auction. Always sad to hear about things like that, especially from a great player.
