Raiders vs Bengals - Wild Card (-6, o/u 48.5) (1 Viewer)

Bengals win 24-20 on a big Mixon game I think. Waller back could keep the Raiders close as well as the pass D getting pressure up front and limiting big plays from Chase and co.

#### Yeah!!!

:headbang:   :towelwave:   :headbang:   :towelwave:   :headbang:

Was ready to roll in and fire up the threads. Glad my friend @Insein started this one.

6 points a lot for Burrow and a team that has never hosted a Playoff game in recent memory, did Marvin Lewis make that happen?

Bengals 27...Raiders 24 but I might change my mind, this is not the gambling game of the weekend, we'll get to those but I would steer clear of this one unless you trust the Raiders to keep it close.

From the MoP gambler's soul which i will try this Wildcard Weekend to let my guard down and share some of the secret sauce I use to try and judge the lines but I want to stress that even with armed knowledge that is proven you still are gonna lose a certain % of the time BUT once you get he discipline YOU NEVER DOUBT your rules or codes, it's that simple. Think about poker for a minute, do you think for one second that when Phil Helmuth is done cursing and ranting about being sucked out on a 10:1 type suck out, do you honestly believe he starts to rethink his next move? #### NO!!! he doubles down and continues to strike again and again and again knowing the law of large numbers is on his side.

Rule#1 from MoP is do not doubt what you know is true, pretty simple but many gamblers lose their way on this. Simple example and not always true BUT...you have a strong team plays a MNF game and then boards a plane and hits the road for a 1:00 Sunday game cross country...you do the math.

-That's a very primitive example for most gamblers and again it doesn't always hold but you FF players out there would be wise to keep track of Veags odds and what the gamblers are doing including DFS, it absolutely can help you avoid pitfalls throughout the season. Why load up on the Rams on the road when everyone and their mom is taking "Name the East Coast Team", no reason to fill out a DFS with Stafford that weekend, look elsewhere.

Yes I did this to get some banter going beyond just the football game, i want to know what you're thinking.

Cheers!

:lmao:

Barney Rubble time for y'all but I do think the youth of Burrow opens an avenue for LVR, 10-6 Half of last game, 13-6 going into the 4th Q...yet the final score was 32-13, that's not promising. Surprised this isn't like Cinci -9 BUT Burrow and crew were off last week and both teams have the same record to my knowledge and then there is the whole idea of the last game, late into the night, last play of OT, board a plane for cold weather in Cinci, public not on a 1st name basis yet with Joe Burrow and you have a spread that is actually pretty small as I keep talking myself into taking a stronger position here.

bengals scored 2 tds off turnovers in the 4th quarter in the regular season game.  i believe they out gained them and had a higher yard per play avg.  spread is correct.  both teams are a bit jeckle and hyde.  bengals should win.  but i think it will be within one score.

I like the 6 points here. Vegas has been playing a lot of close games recently, and I'm not big on betting favored QBs making their first playoff start. Of course that doesn't mean Cincinnati would have to lose outright, just a close win would also do it.
Let me walk with you thru this corridor

-DaRaiders lost 5 games in 6 weeks

16-23 at NYG

14-41 KC

13-32...these same Bengals

36-33 OT vs Dallas only win in this span of 6 games, granted they suffered a lot this season

15-17...WFT, OOF!

9-48 at KC, got blown out, I mean the doors were completely blown off of them by KC in a way the Chiefs haven't done as often this year.

The next couple weeks they manage to squeak out 16-14 and 17-13 wins vs the Browns and Broncos, that's nothing to be super proud of.

They won a road game vs the Colts 23-20, great job, the Colts missed the Playoffs and then they managed last week vs the Bolts in the final second of Overtime.

I'm not buying the Raiders as a hot team entering the Playoffs. Yes they were in recent close games but look closer and you see a different story IMHO.

I like both the Raiders fans and the Bengals fans on the board. Good luck to both of you. Think I'm a former Raider fan pulling for the youth and dynamism of the Bengals in this one. I have no idea about the spread.

I actually think I might like a Raiders team that has overcome a ton of adversity, though that adversity might finally catch up with them. Missing Ruggs and Gruden and Arnette. You wonder if that catches up to them. You can always make up for losses in the off-season, it's so much harder during the season. But you wouldn't catch me predicting or betting this game, though. Let's see.

Rooting for a good game.

Bengals weren’t ready for prime time earlier this year, following big wins with bad losses

They’re ready now. Offense is on an absolute roll. They’ll win, 33-21

Worst booth possible for this game, Brees is horrible but Tirico dwarfs all the things I dislike about Brees who offers nothing in the studio and is only worse in the booth with this stooge.

Shocked so many people like the Raiders. I think the Bengals win by at least 2 scores. Other than KC over Pittsburgh, I think this is the lock of the week. Don't see the Raiders D holding up at all.

Some stats nerds were talking about Burrow’s performance against teams that don’t blitz. His performance was way down against those teams. Raiders blitz the least since front 4 are so good.

I see exactly how this began. Lots of Raiders running, a wide open pass or two. Cinci is shaky. That whole AFC North is full of pretenders.

Carr needs to finish this drive. Don’t think Raiders can afford too many penalties and get behind the chains
