Rams and Browns recievers? (1 Viewer)

I am in two leagues, one a 12 teams redraft; start 3 WR, no Flex, no PPR. The other is a dynasty 12 team no PPR, no flex, start 3 WR.

Not one Cleveland WR drafted in either league, Mike Sims Walker the only Ram WR taken. I understand the Rams WR situation is mess and now the FA signing of Clayton adds to the confusion. I thought Amendola was a sure starter but not much love on FBG for any of the of them.

Is there a WR worth having on the roster? I picked up the Greg Little from the Browns for the Dynasty league.

any views appreciated.

I wouldn't touch any of the them except MSW. Amendola would be good in a PPR, but since your league isn't, i would pass.

First off I will admit to being an unabashed homer. But viewing the Cleveland situation with a forward looking POV, stashing a couple of there receivers (Moore, Little maybe even Robiske) on your reserves may not be a bad thing. The Browns are going to be throwing a lot this year. I'm figuring Colt will average at least 30 attempts a game, someone is going to have to catch those passes. The Browns have also shifted to an offensive minded head coach installing the west coast offensive from the prior pinheads (Mangini & Crennel) who favored ground control and defense. It's all about trying to get one up on your opponents and sometimes past performance is not the best analysis.

Bradford might throw for 4,000 yards with the defenses in that division and McDaniels at the OC. Somebody is going to have a very good year in STL.

Little who is the perfect fit for McCoy and that offense. That's all. All those WRs in STL are great for Bradford, bad for them individually.

Evan Moore seems to be the browns WR to own, but he's not a WRseems like when MoMass came back he was inserted ahead of Little
I was under the impression Moore was only getting the time and looks in preseason because Watson was out. No?
like Gronkowski and Hernandez, they basically play 2 different positions Moore just earned a 2 year extension which shows that Cleveland considers him a valuable part of their team

Isn't Mo mass the #1 in Cleveland? I read all the crap he did this offseason about improving his prep and he's coming into his 3rd year with a pass happy WCO now. He was a 2nd round pick so there's talent there and the opportunity to match. I think people are sleeping on him. Little is still a rookie, don't forget that. Mo was also the WR practicing with Colt this offseason.

Colt McCoy, QB CLE

News: Browns QB Colt McCoy spoke about his relationship with head coach Pat Shurmur and his receiving corps on Saturday. McCoy says he gets along well with Shurmur even though the coach pushes him and puts the pressure on. Where it might pay off is in the passing game, where McCoy is developing his relationship with his young receiving corps after emphasizing that he loves throwing to his tight ends. "It's been up and down," he said. "It's good to have [Mohamed Massaquoi] back cutting and planting. We [need] the right spacing and to catch the ball. We're going to throw a lot."

Yes he is. Little is not going to see a ton of action early until he proves he deserves more looks. He's had a solid but up and down camp. Cribbs looked good early then was injured. Mass will probably be the most consistent over the year but isn't going to light up the fantasy scoreboard. Definitely worth owning in PPR leagues though. Moore will be the #1 red zone option. A healthy Hillis may lead the team in receptions.

In redraft, you can take MoMass or Little. But in dynasty you take Little.

I think by the end of the season it will be MoMass and Little on the outside with Little being the more physical and better suited to the WCO. Remember, he's a former RB with WR size. If anyone on that offense is capable of adding some YAC, it's Little.

But expect some growing pains. He's still learning how to be a WR and he's still thinking about what he's doing...which I suspect is causing him to be distracted and drop passes. But I think as he becomes more comfortable and has to think less, his concentration can focus on catching the ball.

Brian Robiskie in PPR leagues will outplay his late round flyer position. he is entering year 3, 6-2, 210 lbs, not fast, not flashy, but he caught a TD in weeks 15, 16, and 17. He has some rapport with McCoy. I like Colt McCoy going into this year in the 2 year and under QBs in the league. Massaquoi is very spotty and Little owners want him to be something that I'm not sure he can be this season. Like Little long term but not in 2011.

In St Louis I think it's great to grab Amendola for a bye week filler in PPR as say a WR4. MSW is a WR4 with some upside but don't discount the relationship that Amendola and Gibson will have with Bradford. Gibson had 30 something receptions as a rookie, 50-55+ last year and although he didn't make he highlight reels much he is has decent size 6-1, 200.

I like both Robiskie and Gibson late in drafts, been scooping them up anytime I can.

GL in your draft.

Amendola is a everyweek starter in PPR.. 85 catches as a 2nd year player.....Just like welker, he should put up 100 catches in 3rd year.

I have some questions regarding the rams passing attack. First off, how many people out there give them a mulligan due to them playing the eagles? Clearly they did not take any shots down the field. Also, whose going to emerge as the number 1 ( especially now w/ Danny out ) and do you think that WR can be a productive WR2/WR3?

Gibson unless he keeps dropping passes. He accounted for an additional 46 yards via defensive penalties on top of his 50 yards receiving.

 Clearly, you didn't watch the game. Neither did I, but I saw Gibson targeted on a long pass to the endzone where he drew a PI flag.

MSW simply isn't that good, Gibson has a lot more upside and potential in him. I think Josh McD can see that.
I agree MSW isnt that good but he was a decent option in Jax and with Amendola going down someone has to get more targets
You're right. SOMEone has to get more targets. I just don't think that it's going to be him. Amendola and MSW are two entirely different types of receivers. MSW can't fill in skill-wise for what Amendola brought to the table. I'd look to Greg Salas or the TE to get more targets. I'm not targeting either of them, though, if I can help it.

Robiske couldn't create separation if Abe Vigoda was covering him and McCoy has a noodle arm.

Shhhhhhhhh.......be quiet. This is your best buy-Low opportunity for Rams players that you will get.now quietly let frustrated people dump on the rams and ditch their players on the cheap. If you and I can take advantage.... so be it.

The Rams led the league in most passes thrown short of the first down marker in 2010. They didn't take any shots downfield in preseason, so I don't know how one can conclude week one was an aberration.

Take into the consideration the coaching change. McDaniel's offenses have produced top 10 qbs and at least 1 top 15 WR for as long as he has been running them. (6 years). I don't foresee this changing on turf with a capable QB. That said, Bradford needs to get feeling his fingers again or they need to bring Garrard in, stat.McDaniels started as a QB coach in the NFL and his QBs throwing for TDs is what gets him off.

Except for the Gibson 80 yard TD you mean? And except for the 40 or 50 yard pass yesterday to Gibson which drew a pass interference call on Nnamdi?

Somehow there might be emerging value for those who went heavy on RB and are scrambling for potential WR2 & WR3 plays.

Any views on Massoquai (MoMass)? Robiskie is uninspiring, Little seems not ready, & Cribbs never fills out as a WR, but my guess is a Shurmur offense has to improve. If it does wouldn't it have to go through MoMass as a practical matter? Moore & Watson I see at the goal line and good for 2-3 receptions but someone has to move the ball downfield. Who else but MoMass until Little comes around (which might not be until next year?)?

It looks like Gibson is viewed as the best option in StL too reading through this and other threads. For McDaniels the DEN passing game started out a little slow and scrambled as far as the WR's were concerned last year too and Lloyd finally came out of the pack. I wonder if Gibson can be that guy. Nobody seems too, too stoked about MSW's chances.

Also Chicago - Roy W, Knox and Hester and surprisingly relatively available in CBS leagues at least; of those three Hester seems like the better play.
