Rams' & Lions' Offense (1 Viewer)

Personally, I don't see the Rams moving the ball as effectively with the passing game as they have in the past because of Martz moving onto Detroit. I think SJ clearly gets a bump up and TH, while still a bona fide star, is not the same value in fantasy formats.

On the other hand, I can't say that I can wholeheartedly predict that Lions' WR's get better this year...

What is the popular opinion on these teams and their offensive outputs, in comparison to years' past?

I do not think the Rams' offense will be that much different. The drop minus Martz's presence will not be substantial. Their team defense is still in bad shape especially the secondary. Bulger will still be playing from behind and throwing the ball to Holt, Bruce and Co. Play calling might not be as cute, like trick plays from the opponents 2, but there will still be plenty of opportunity in the passing game.

As a life long Lions fan, I will say the Lions offense is not going to be anything near what Martz had or did in St. Louis. I fully expect that team to run the football more often than not and be built around their defense not vice versa. They do not have the talent in place to run anything remotely close to what Martz did in St. Louis. Conversely, they do have a nice pile of playmakers on the other side of the football. I see a ball control offense with players like K. Jones and R. Williams coming a little shy of expectations.

Kitna will def suprise with his yardage totals. He will put up plenty of garbage yards in the second half of games. Roy Williams will be a top 5 WR if he stays healty. No matter how hard he tries to stay balenced on "O" Martz can't help but throw 30-40 times a game.

:goodposting: I think everone is missing the boat with Stl this year. Sure they WANT to run the ball more, but when you can't stop anybody on Def, and your down by 10-14 points, it's easier said than done.Sure Holt, and Sjax are still going pretty early, but Bulger is going in the QB 8-11 range in the drafts that I've been in.
