Yes, I've already started to get annoyed by the people who don't have it.
Runner tracking for race day for accurate location of our runnersIs there a runner tracking link for Carmel yet? Was going to get that set up (now that you guys have bib numbers) but I can't find one.
I have to go back and find the details on it... it's in the last page or so and I was intrigued but didn't get to it.
You bum! I was looking for run tracking info on their site before and didn't see it. I thought you had it and I was going to forward it to my wife.

Meh. I like putting other stuff in the "description" field. Can you still do that?Yes, I've already started to get annoyed by the people who don't have it.

Yes, we recreational joggers will still get to read how you nailed your shirtless workout in 20 degree weather without breaking a sweat and killing the last mile.Meh. I like putting other stuff in the "description" field. Can you still do that?
Second straight day mine's said foggy.
Also, your cadence line looks really screwy. I wonder how accurate it is because it's a lot more jiggly than others with a pretty wide range (as low as 100 and as high as 188. But, I can't imagine it's THAT far off.Second straight day mine's said foggy.
**looks outside and counts clouds**
Zero. There are zero ####### clouds in the sky.
May just be my phone - I notice similar if I drag over my pace. Total was almost exactly the same though. We'll see what it does when I ramp up the effort. Also, your cadence line looks really screwy. You're just an enigma wrapped inside a riddle.
Never forget - you, my friend, are an inspiration and one heck of a BMF. You got this! The way my vag hurts this week, maybe?
I'll take the one on the right.@ChiefD @gruecd @The Iguana I just bought a 5-pack of disposable ponchos. Let me know if you want one.
If any of you think all this Carmel talk is excessive, just wait until the week of the St. Louis relay.
Kind of bummed to find out I'll be traveling that day. But it will give me something to read while I'm sitting on the beach later that day/ night. If any of you think all this Carmel talk is excessive, just wait until the week of the St. Louis relay.
My original plan was to take the shuttle to the start. But if it's gonna be raining I think I'll leave early and drive my car over there so I can park nice and close and have someplace warm and dry to sit comfortably until just before the race.@ChiefD @gruecd @The Iguana I just bought a 5-pack of disposable ponchos. I believe that’s my schtick.![]()
We'll be #####ing about the heat and humidity.
So we can all ride with you and talk about our beets? My original plan was to take the shuttle to the start. But if it's gonna be raining I think I'll leave early and drive my car over there so I can park nice and close and have someplace warm and dry to sit comfortably until just before the race.
Even though I had my Ultimate Direction rain shell on, I used one of those before my 50K last month. It was great, kept me drier and warmer than not having it for sure, and I just took it off and tossed it as I got into the start corral.@ChiefD @gruecd @The Iguana I just bought a 5-pack of disposable ponchos. Oh no, there will be much more fretting and fussing.Whew ...looks like it's safe to return to the thread, now. Weather-fretting and cadence-fussing seems to have settled down.I'm still just putting in miles, though starting to think about a spring race of some sort.
There is one on Saturday. Come on down - the water's fine!starting to think about a spring race of some sort.
I think my plan is to bring two Contractor thickness trash bags. These things are 3MIL and would keep a wet honey badger out.Even though I had my Ultimate Direction rain shell on, I used one of those before my 50K last month. Figure I'll stand in one and drape the other one over the top. I'll look like I'm wearing a condom but won't care.
Might need its own thread. Or subforum. If any of you think all this Carmel talk is excessive, just wait until the week of the St. Louis relay.
What are the other boys going to hold onto while you're carrying them?Good thing about 50° and raining is that I can run shirtless.![]()
FYPIf any of you think all this Carmel talk is excessive, just wait until theweekmonth off the St. Louis relay.
This is one of my favorite posts ever.So I went for a run today. Here’s what was going on inside my head. I start off, lean forward, lean forward, but keep your core tight. That lasts for about 30 seconds. Then I say, what the hell am I doing out here. It’s 400 degrees and I’m trying to run, just turn around and go back home. Then I start thinking about how I should’ve drank some beet juice from the cabinet that’s been sitting there since 2017. My pace starts picking up because I can’t seem to run slow when leaning forward. Then I start thinking about road runner legs. Then I started to be thankful for the weather because of what our friends will deal with in Carmel. Then I’m like, I wonder what my cadence is. Then, I should incorporate some power like @MAC_32. All in all, I got in 2 miles, I turned my brain into a mental pretzel, and I realized you guys have some serious issues. Leg feels fine, hoping to contribute to team BMF in St. Louis. That’s all.

It's nice the see the forecast now have the thunderstorms come through earlier and the wind a little lighter (11-12 mph). Most rain is the first hour at .08 inch. That's not too bad.Ok.. coming around to the realization that we are going to get wet Saturday. But on the bright side, it's supposed to be about 50 degrees in the morning so it won't be a frozen rain!
Yeah, it's getting better. It's nice the see the forecast now have the thunderstorms come through earlier and the wind a little lighter (11-12 mph). Most rain is the first hour at .08 inch. That's not too bad.
