Please meet Derek Blasberg--writer, socialite, author, and television personality who works in the fashion industry.

He is a mildly interesting friend-of-celeb, social climber type. Successful in his own right, but much more well known for being the guy at every celeb event where people say, 'this guy again? Who IS he?'. I have been at events with him, but have never spoken to him. The people I know who have met him say he's a bit of hanger-on, but a super nice guy.

His life straddles the fashion world, and celeb world. At least, it did until he had an explosive diarrhea incident in one of Gwyneth Paltrow's beds at her Hamptons estate.

The Hamptons rumor (coming from a really attractive bartender at Surf Lodge, who will definitely hear the truth from someone) is that this was a mishap involving Ozempic and a sleep aid.

Insiders later told DailyMail.com Blasberg - once described as 'one of showbiz’s most well-connected men' - was the culprit and that he had conveniently blamed the incident on the popular weight loss wonder drug before allegedly fleeing the property.
