Randy Moss Hurt Back (1 Viewer)

Randy Moss-WR- Patriots Sep. 10 - 4:05 pm et

Randy Moss was limited in Patriots practice Wednesday with a "back" injury.

Moss did fall hard on his Week 1 touchdown catch and took another shot in the game, but he spoke with reporters Wednesday and that's usually a sign players will play. Still, the Pats are very shady with injuries and are unlikely to give a direct indication as to whether Moss will face the Jets all week.

If Moss were to miss this game it would make Matt Cassell unstartable correct..WOuld it not then give a boost to Maroney though?

People can try to ask the same question 47 times, but what you see from Maroney is what you are going to get. If Brady AND Moss were out, you can bet defeders would be all over the line of scrimmage.

So if Maroney were to get more carries, it's not likely he would be able to do much with them. So IMO, no, it would not improve Maroney's fantasy scoring.

For the slow students...

Now that Brady - Probable - Shoulder is no longer an option, what's the next best ploy?

Wait for it...

Moss - Probable - Back

Belichick has been known to let key guys have days off and take it easy once in a while. Seeing how he did practice and did not blow off practice (like the other thread makes it out to be), I suspect he will be fine.

I doubt he will miss practice all week, but clearly this should be monitored all week long.
