Randy Moss Song Parody (1 Viewer)

I realized I haven't said it yet, so thanks to everyone for their compliments. It's been really fun being a part of this.

Thank you from the bigbottom of my heart (or the heart of my bigbottom, whichever you prefer). :)

I just got an e-mail from AM570 in LA. They want to do an interview and play the song ASAP. I'm gonna call. If I do get on the air, I'm gonna give writing credit to my buddy __________ (using the first name from your PM). Hope that's okay.

Okay, I talked to the producer. I told him the lyrics were written by my buddy _______ in California (Is that where you are?), and that I did the song and video. He's gonna call me later to set something up. He said they want to do a quick interview before they play the tune. We'll see if it actually happens. CP, do you want in on this?

Just as a little aside, yesterday was my birthday and I was invited over to my brother's for a little dinner with his family.

When I arrived, turns out it was a surprise party with a house full of people all jumping out at me when I got there. Very fun..

I had sent my brother the You Tube link earlier, and during the party we played it for everyone cranked up loud and had a lot of fun with it. Three people there are Raiders season ticket holders, and they really enjoyed it.

I'm 15 miles east of Oakland, and if Moss lives where I think he does in-season (a rich area called Blackhawk), he's in the next town south of me.In on this... as in doing the interview too? Sure, why not, if they (and you) want. But this was mostly you, and I don't want to take away from your exposure. This could be good for you from a career standpoint, but for me it's just a novelty. So you decide. I'm fine either way.

Okay, the interview is scheduled for Monday at 6:00 pm (or five minutes after the hour). They are going to call me on my cell phone. Not sure how I can coordinate a joint call from my cell, but I will give you whatever shout out you want - full writing credit. Do you want me to use your full name? What city do you live in?

GREAT song!
Thanks Cecil. We've got a thread going on all the happenings on this song over in the FFA, but for those of you who don't get over there much here are some update highlights:

-- The song ended up 12th yesterday on YouTube's most watched videos (Comedy category)

-- Over 23,000 YouTube views now.

-- KNBR 680 (flagship SF station for 49ers, Giants, Warriors) played and discussed the song during their morning drive program today. Producer talked with me (off air), said it created quite a buzz around there, and he will be sending me the archived segment next week.

-- A piece of the song ended up on page 2 of the San Jose Mercury News sports section

-- It also made it to yesterday's blog by the Merc's John Ryan at http://www.mercextra.com/blogs/buzz/

-- It ended up on http://withleather.com/post.phtml?pk=1558 and from there became one of the featured vids yesterday on http://www.gorillamask.net/

-- It also ended up on the featured video page at http://www.fark.com/video/

-- Randy Moss still hasn't contacted me for lunch, but I'm sure it's just that's he's been busy.

Hey CP; I'm in Brentwood on the other side of the hill from you; I was gonna mention that I heard it on the Murph and Mac show.. CP's being modest; the hosts were really fired up about the clip. In fact Brian Murphy, one of the co-hosts jokingly said "we gotta get him on staff; that is great production quality". Good Job guys!

Good stuff!!!

I live in Sacramento and occassionally listen to KNBR during my commute (typically listen to the Riseguys on the local Sacto station though). I haven't heard anything locally about this parody, but I'll keep my eyes open.

Good work gentlemen.
