Rank These "Primary" RB's in PPR (1 Viewer)

I know there has been overkill discussion on RBBC this preseason, but it is prevalent after the first 12-15 RB's come off the board. If you're lucky enough to grab a suitable RB2 (read primary ball carrier) like McGahee, Benson, Jacobs, Ronnie Brown, Edge, etc., who are you targeting later for RB3? Some of the guys on this list could surprise and end up top 20, making your RB3 a nice pick.

I'm leaving Deuce off the list because he will probably go in the 4th/5th round. The rest of these guys are going in rounds 6-9 from what I've seen.

Fred Taylor - primary runner in a great rushing offense, doesn't get a ton of catches but will be getting 60-70% of the touches this year, and has proven to not be fragile the past 4 or 5 seasons.

Julius Jones - same story as last year, offense will score, but who will get the TD's? MBIII was off the hook last year with his TD's (I owned him and he was a great RB3) but will the TD numbers balance out more. (i.e. can Julius break a couple?)

DeShaun Foster - Also owned him and was burned by him last year. He will still be the starter and obviously can't predict injury, but has their O-line improved enough where you like Foster this year? Not me, though he has run with a burst in preseason.

Chester Taylor - Was top 15 in PPR scoring last season, obviously will lose touches this year, but they sure will run the ball a lot this year with an unproven QB at the helm, so he should get his, plus good receiver out of the backfield.

Warrick Dunn - every year this guy is undervalued and I've actually tried to grab him the past few years, obviously the herniated disc has people worried which it should, but Dunn has proved to be a tough runner. Norwood is explosive and great change of pace, but again Dunn should get his.

Tatum Bell - in a great situation right now with KJ on the PUP, but will he still be the guy half way through the season? I do like his potential in Martz system, especially after Martz' glowing praise of Bell's work to improve his hands out of the backfield.

LaMont Jordan - I like his situation as he has shown flashes of 2005 Lamont Jordan this preseason, but obviously Rhodes will be back in the mix after 4 weeks. Good receiver out of the backfield, and the Raiders offense by all accounts looks much improved from last year.

Obviously most of these guys have a younger counterpart being drafted earlier in almost each case, but these guys listed are all still STARTERS and should see the majority of carries for most of the season.

I'd rank them

Bell - opportunity and upside

F. Taylor - steady freddy (top 20 finish last year, see same mix this year)

Julius Jones - needs more TD's to be a great RB3 this year

Jordan - opportunity is there for first four weeks, and great matchups in those weeks may earn him the job for good

Chester - appears like it's his job to lose as everyone is gagga for AD, but I see him getting 40-50% minimum, great receiver

Dunn - atlanta may struggle this year, how many more miles left in his tank?

Foster - starter, but rushing offense is suspect

Have at it...

I'd rank them as so, and I also added Brandon Jackson to the mix.

F. Taylor

Bell

Jordan

Dunn

Brandon Jackson

Julius Jones

Chester
