NL Only 10 team league. I need help in pitching but have the most hitting in the league.

Trade 1:

I give Adrian Gonzalez and get Dan Haren

Trade 2:

I give Gonzalez, Madson and Bastardo

I get Mark Reynolds and Chad Billingsley

Trade 3:

I give R Howard and R Ludwick

I get Carpenter and Berkman

Trades 1 and 3 are waiting for me to hit. I sent trade 2 over yesterday, and he said it was intriguing and would let me know by the end of the day.

Personally, I like trade 2, then 1 then 3 but wanted to make sure I am not crazy.

I don't love any of them but if I was forced to choose I'd go with #3. Isn't Haren usually awful in the 2nd half?

I like them all, but I like trade #2 best.

Gonzalez is a home running hitting machine, but plays in a very weak lineup and in an extreme pitchers park. Teams pitch around him all the time (evidenced by his league leading 49 walks) and rarely gets to hit with runners on base or in scoring position (22 homers, but only 43 rbis and 42 runs). Everyone loves the home run, but if you can afford the loss there, this is a guy that is easy to trade and get a good bang for the buck in return.

I like Billingsley slightly better than Haren, just because his stuff is electric. But, I'd be surprised if you get Reynolds there in return, no one likes to trade guys that are well on pace for 30/30, even if they are hitting .230 or whatever.

Howard is another guy that I think is overvalued in most every league....but, Berkman just isn't there and Carpenter is much too high an injury risk to go after. I'd rather sit back and enjoy Howards 40+ home run year, and trade away Gonzalez's 40+ home run year.

g'luck

3 if any.

Reynolds kills peripherals and Haren will regress in 2nd half....although I am a big fan of Billingsley.

The only drawback to #3 is Carpenter's ability to stay healthy.

Not a big fan of any of them

Stick it out for a better trade.

Put Gonzo on the block, and see what he'll get in return.
