Ranking RB's near the 1/2 turn (1 Viewer)

The order I would take them in is:
  1. Henry
  2. Brown
  3. Jacobs
  4. Bucky
  5. Taylor
  6. Achane
  7. Jeanty (I just can't put the rookie above guys that have done it)

*Assume this is for redraft

In my redraft they went

Henry
Jeanty
Irving
Achane
Brown
Jacobs
Kyren
Taylor

I took Henry and Achane, but it was a few days before Achane's soft-tissue issue was announced. I would have taken Brown if I'd known that.

In 26 games, De'Von Achane has amassed almost 125 receptions, 2,500 total yds and 23 TDs
He's 100 yds, 5 catches and a TD per week

Who on this list being ranked ahead of him and why?
Derrick Henry is gone many time by the 1/2 turn, you're lucky if you can get him at 10-11-12, that speaks for itself
Comes down to Jeanty-Josh jacobs-Bucky Irving on the 1/2 turn
Chase Brown and JTaylor have been sliding to the late 2nd and even early 3rd, doesn't mean you can't go Brown/Taylor on the turn but it would be unusual vs redrafts already finished

Yeah I sure as heck would be aiming for Achane above all those guys easily in ppr. Only risk is his health. Opps and add Tua in there.

In FBG league 4, you picked 11 & I picked 12.

You took Bucky over Achane 2.02 - I’m just saying.
:)

Health risk you say?

How many games did CMC miss last year?
How many games has Kenny Walker missed his first 2-3 seasons and is drafted one round later in the 3rd?
Kamara misses between 3 to 5 games over his last 3 seasons
Josh Jacobs missed 4 full games in 2023
Jonathan Taylor missed Half of '22 and Half of '23
Kyren Williams missed 6 starts in 2023

How many games did Achane miss in 2024?

I have Bucky higher on my list than most folks, I took him the same spot in both 3 and 4, posted about it in the Bucky thread

Jacobs is being criminally underrated IMO, probably because he's a "boring" pick. He's on what should be a decent offense (with questionable passing options), and he has basically zero competition (Llyod can't seem to stay on the field). He's got the highest floor out of those options in my opinion, and at that point in the draft thats what I am looking for.

I posted about there being no updates in over 6 months
I'm with you on Jacobs

Rank their situations -

Ravens
Bengals
Packers

Raiders

Bucs (discounted for RBBC)
Colts

Dolphins
Agree. This, the fact he's already injured and Tua is exactly why I am lower on Achane than most.

I like having players who will be playing for something when it matters.
The Ravens, Packers, Bengals and Bucs SHOULD be playing for something during fantasy playoffs.

Even though I initially had Jeanty #1, I am leaning towards Henry, Brown or Jacobs in the second round after I go elite WR in round 1.
This is from the 10 spot in a redraft.

How do you rank the RB's near the 1/2 turn in a 12 team PPR?

My rankings:

Jeanty
Brown
Henry
Jacobs
Taylor
Achane
This is an interesting group - in PPR I've always avoided Henry, but he constantly produces. At what point does he regress? I'm picking at 1.08 in a 10-team keeper and see CMC/Jeanty falling to me in mocks and then one of these still available on the way back.

so:
Jeanty -focal point of offense/chip kelly will get him the rock

Achane-78 rec's last year, can he do it again with no Jonnu Smith - I say yes
Henry -boring pick, I hardly ever draft this guy
Brown - least proven on this list besides Jeanty but no competition for snaps
Jacobs - undervalued, 1600 career attempts, but he's still got 1-2 strong years left IMO
Taylor - don't love the offense, would take Bucky above this guy

I’m an “RB in the 1st round” old school guy in my 30 year 1/2 ppr redraft league.
I just feel like I can find better WR value thoughtout the draft and on the waiver wire.

All that said…I have the 7th pick in that league’s draft in a couple of weeks, and if I can “guarantee” Jacobs will be there for me at 2.6…sheesh, I might just go WR in the 1st if one of Chase, JJ or Lamb are there for me at 1.7.

My rankings:
Henry (until proven otherwise)
Jeanty (great combo of talent and system/philosophy. Seems like a “safe” floor…if you can say such a thing about a rookie RB)
Jacobs
Achane
Bucky (I’m a believer)
Brown
JT
CMC (basically saying I’ll let someone else draft him above where I’m willing to. And I’m in the SF Bay Area with enough 9er fans in my league that I won’t have to worry about this problem).

Go Henry and pray that Drake London falls to 2.6. I suspect he's more likely to be there than Jacobs, but every league is different, and after 30 yrs, you should have a good sense of yours. Neither Jacobs, nor London fell to 2.6 in UNO, and by my clock, neither should have!

Ha. Henry is exactly who I think I’m taking at 1.7. And take Best Available WR at 2.6, most likely.

The only thing predictable about the other owners in this 30 year league is that I have no clue what half of them are going to do from year to year 🤪

Henry
Achane
Irving
Brown
Jacobs
Jeanty
Taylor

Henry IMO is not in this tier. Top 3 finish is on the table.
Neither should Achane be but he's quite a bit risker. He could easily finish top 3 based primarily on the massive target share. Hill and Waddle both seem like players with massive upside but more of a recent history of disappointment. Achane on the other hand has been the lone bright spot for this team in a down year last year- other than Jonnu.

Irving and Brown are in the same tier for me. Brown is at risk of not getting the insane workload he got down the stretch last year.
Jacobs probably just docked for being boring and should probably be a flat footed tie with Irving Brown.
Jeanty- we've seen several "generational" RBs fail to produce top 5 finishes in their rookie year. If he's the one, great. If not, I won't be surprised.

Taylor I don't trust the offense at all. Richardson seems like he could torpedo the targets and TDs if he's the QB and the offense could struggle mightily.

Kamara if healthy is well up in this tier.
