Ravens and Mason this week (1 Viewer)

Any word out there on what changes Billick. Mason says that we will see a drastic improvement from McNair this week. Will Billick's conservative style get Mason more involved in the offense? I have a dilema between starting Mason or Reggie Williams this week. I am not looking for advice on who to start as this is not the right forum......just wondering if anyone has heard or knows what change Billick will make.

Thanks!

More to the point of my question.....based on what McNair and Mason said below, does this mean the they guys they are putting in position to make plays will be Mason??????

McNair said the transfer of power in the bye week is a great change. McNair added, "We're on the right pace for doing things offensively. We're doing something that puts some guys in position to make plays." WR Derrick Mason said, "I think you will see a drastic change in Steve this week and from here on out."

I've been really surprised at the low number of targets and receptions that Mason has received this year. I wasn't counting on Mason for more than 5 TDs, but I thought he'd at least see 80 receptions. Will the play calling change that significantly? It might but I think most Mason owners will be trying to wait to see if anything is going to be handled differently before putting him in their lineup. From a FF perspective, the Ravens offense has to rank as one of the top 3 most frustrating teams to decipher what lies ahead. It can't get much worse and I would think that the offensive coordinator getting fired means that they're looking to open it up a bit more. I'm still going to give it at least a week in leagues that I have other options in.

Thanks Balls.

I might be a little bit more optimistic in what McNair said. I assume that he was talking about getting Mason more involved in the offense (even though he didn't say his name).

:goodposting: I have McNair and JLewis and there is just no way that I'm putting either in until they show something. Here's hoping because I would really like to start McNair as my flex. It really baffles me how bad he has been playing. Definitley one of the picks that I made wrong.

I highly doubt the Billick's playcalling will impact McNairs ability to throw accurate passes.

Make no mistake, the problem with the Baltimore O is/was not playcalling, but rather McNair's erractic passes and the Weekend at Jamal's backfield.

NO has given up 10 receiving TDs this year, and it's not like he can have a worse game than week 6 after giving the offense a boost. I'm considering him as a WR3- as long as McNair starts.

I too am wondering how the Ravens offense will look this week. Have any homers or anyone else in the know heard anything about how the offense may shape up this week? For all the talk about Billeck being an "offensive genius," I haven't seen any genius myself out of him, except maybe of the Wylie Coyote kind.

While I'd love to see Baltimore get their offense in gear - no way am I starting them over more reliable options this week. I need to see a solid performance before I make that leap.

Keep in mind McNair "got his bell rung" in Week 6, and we have to see if he's 100% (is he ever?).
