That Baltimore series happened because on 3rd and 1 Pat Shurmur decided to pass to seldom used TE Alex Smith which lead to a punt by suddenly-sucky punter Reggie Hodges who wilted with a 31 yard punt.

Then LB D'Qwell Jackson looked like a punk as he got BLASTED back into the endzone and didn't even get free till Rice was three yards over the goal line. Unbelievably bad football for Cleveland.

Pat Shurmer didn't decide to throw to Alex Smith. He was clearly not the primary option as Weeden held it looking downfield for quite a while before eventually throwing a bad pass out to his right.

Rice is the best on 3rd and 1: it's Shonn Greene with 7 of 7.Gore is 2 of 6.

Browns defense has finally showed up. They have shut down Balt's offense after the first quarter. Now if the Browns offense could show up, we might have something here!

 
Third & nine, we throw to the line of scrimmage. I thought we took that sheet out of the play book after all the success with it from last year but they've ran it twice now with the same result.

The Ravens began the game by pounding the rock very effectively and Flacco was red-hot hitting everything but he had everything open to him because he wasn't in obvious passing downs.The Browns-D has clamped down on the run, forcing a lot of third and longs and I've seen the Browns LBers all over Rice as he releases from his block coming out.Basically a combination of many things but he is in there on passing downs but he's been covered.
 
Phil Dawson is amazing.

Browns are spoiled to have such a great kicker.

He doesn't get nearly the amount of credit that he deserves.

 
What a depressing loss. Had it and pissed it away. Weeden had a rookie game, missed way too many open opportunities, the coaching staff did their best to give the game away again AND WILL SOMEBODY BENCH MOTHER####ING GREG LITTLE!
