**Ravens at Chiefs**(+2.5, 48.5) 4:25 (1 Viewer)

BAL D is a shell of themselves this year. And Harbaugh’s playcalling has been the most conservative, turtle-up “don’t lose” horse poop I can remember in recent history.

Bal gets right this week and decisively beats a reeling KCC team.

BAL: 33
KCC: 20

A Super Bowl contender (even after losing this game) will be 1-3. That's the major story. Personally, I think KC needs it more. AFC North is pretty bad. 9-10 wins could absolutely win the division for the Ravens. That's not gonna do it for KC with the Chargers and Broncos.

KC plays the run very well but is beatable in the middle of the field. For whatever reason teams haven't really been challenging them there, other than the Chargers. Wouldn't be surprised if this were another Andrews week. Expecting some designed screens and the like to Flowers, which was so effective the 1st 2 games.

Ravens run D is awful, but Chiefs run O is even worse. Wonder if we get a bit of a revenge game from Hollywood Brown, as a Worthy return likely pushes Hollywood inside where the Ravens have struggled more (though Amon-Ra probably throws off the numbers a bit) I think Mahomes makes one more play than Lamar. I expect Worthy to be more of a decoy that opens things up for others in his return, but all he needs is 1 big play.

Chiefs win a bit of a shootout.

I benched Mahomes for Love of course Love had to play Dallas and force my hand the one time Mahomes actually has a great game for the first time since I can remember.

Just learning about Jackson leaving with injury, didn't watch a lick of this game, much more focused on the other 3 games that were playing

That sucks if this lingers for the Ravens, already in the hole 1-3 on the season, things are getting into dangerous territory if they don't start winning

given how the season has gone, you made the right choice.

sadly in fantasy sometimes you make the right choice and the fantasy gods intervene.

sometimes, both players go off and it didnt matter who you started.

Love has a good matchup. He should have a decent game. the only worry is that if Green Bay crushes them early and the whole second half is garbage time, then you might get mediocre stats.

but Dak is a good enough QB that Green Bay wont likely be able to take their foot off the gas. the bonus is they lost a game late last week because they took their foot off the gas. so theyll be playing a bit angry and will show the Boys no mercy if they do get an early lead.

to that end, I think you will be fine.

The vibes and body language seemed way off for Lamar especially after MNF. They followed that up with a stinker and him leaving early?

Maybe winning cures all and they have a bunch of easy games coming, but I am not used to seeing him look (act?) like this. He normally always looks like he's having fun out there even in the losses.

I didn’t watch any of this game, either. I even tried to sign up for Paramount+ and their subscription page was jacked, so I settled for Rams/Colts.

I heard, at one point, Ravens had 7 starters out on D? Hard to win like that. And the Chiefs might not be THE CHIEFS anymore, but they’re still a solid, veteran team with a HOF coach and an MVP QB. They’re not dead, yet. If they start getting guys back, they are probably still the class if the AFC West (sorry, Chargers, that loss was unacceptable).

KC Defense has been carrying them the last 2 years, at least. Spags was apparently killing Lamar yesterday.

But… thankfully for BAL, they are in the AFC North, and a 1-3 start just means they have a couple meaningful games against PIT to secure their playoff berth. And if they get any kind of resurgence on D, that looks anyrhing like a typical Ravens’ D, they’re a tough out.

As of now, though, it looks again like it isn’t Baltimore’s year.

I was surprised at the ease with which KC won, but I was not surprised they came out on top. They needed the game more than Baltimore given the difficulty of the 2 divisions they play in and the schedule KC faces still (Det, at Buf, at Den not to mention @ Jax, Was, at Dal, Indy in the next 8 weeks).

well, they are the former superbowl champs. lots of guys on there know how to elevate their game when they need it.

I'm not surprised that they won, but (like you) I"m surprised how easy they made it look.

Andy Reid is a top notch coach but so is Harbaugh.

either way, the Chiefs clearly came in with a strategy to beat them and I suspect a lot of teams will be taking notes on how the chiefs did this.

but given the quality of the team (and coach) in Baltiimore, I think whatever issue led to this, they will resolve it fairly quickly.

Same here. I didn't think the Chiefs would blow them out, but I expected them to win. People have overrated the Ravens all summer, the Chiefs are in the heads of the Ravens, and the game was in KC. I do point spread picks with a buddy every week for fun and the Chiefs and the points was my immediate first pick.

I noticed this too from last week and then again yesterday. He seems to look whiny at times and isn't playing with any swagger. Henry looked the same after fumbling last week, like he was about to cry and couldn't shake it off.

I think Harbaugh and his staff have completely mismanaged the Henry situation. They should have fed him the ball early yesterday, as a big vote of confidence that "we still believe in you," but instead he got 4 first half carries. I couldn't believe that.

At least he should have been in the backfield on 3rd and short a couple times that he was not.

Agreed. Even if the play call is not to give him the ball, he'd still be a decoy who scares the defense.
