**Ravens at Vikings**(+4, 49.5) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

Ravens are on a roll and they aren't even playing that well yet, Jackson was rusty last week and couldn't take off with the ball like he typically does
Ravens in a rout on this one

Ravens 34...Vikings 17

can the ravens defense make Justin Beeber (aka JJ macarthy) look like the rookie he really is? I predict high sack numbers and 2 int

This feels like a trap to me. The narrative is pretty easy to see. Ravens started slow, Lamar got hurt, but now they are healthy, and can run almost run the table and take back the AFC North from a not as good as their record Steelers team. Makes sense but just feels too easy.

I think the Ravens could struggle a bit with Brian Flores defense, especially as to my eyes, Lamar didn't look like a guy who wanted to use his legs last week. I think the Vikings can slow, if not just stop, Henry this week. For the life of me, I have no idea why the Ravens don't use DeAndre Hopkins more than they do. He'd match up great against these Vikings CBs, but they insist on Bateman being the #2.

Vikings OL is mostly back to full health, as healthy as they'll likely get as I don't expect to see Kelly anytime soon. I think McCarthy will be given time to throw, and I don't think the Ravens secondary can hang with Jefferson and Addison for too long. I do think the Ravens stop the run, and force JJ to beat them, I also think he'll succeed

Vikings-28
Ravens-21

This is a very interesting game
JJ looked pretty good on his return
LaMar looked very good
Both defenses are capable of making a game changing play
I'll lean towards The Visitors making that play
so...

Visitors- 29

Home Team- 23

Jordan Mason clearly the after thought at this point, if Jones stays healthy which he should, Mason is jus taking up space on the bench for most right now
94% invested across the board, 27th overall on the season and sinking

-I understand why folks will hold on to him, just saying

Put this in the Texans thread too: Watching on multi-view; interesting to hear the announcers defend the flag on the sack on Lamar Jackson when it's as clean as it can possibly be other than he landed on him via his body weight, vs JJ Watt trying to argue it's hard to play defense and it really shouldn't be a flag when the sack on Mills is clearly helmet to helmet.

That's what I have a problem with. It's so ambiguous/inconsistent. If you want to call blows to the head/helmet, sure. Hits that are too low (knees or whatever)... OK. But, you also can't put your body weight into the tackle? On that play, Turner either hits him or he doesn't. There's no time to gently take Lamar to the ground without putting his weight/momentum into the hit. It might seem like it when you run it back in slow motion, but it's just not realistic. Like Strahan said at halftime, at what point are we going to recognize that the QB's are playing football as well? Defenders are going to start hurting themselves trying to avoid hurting QB's. So dumb.

He did say that "letter of the law" he should get the penalty. He also said, "as a defensive lineman . . . " so you know what's coming about the realities of bodies and the game.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, he was skirting the line because it's definitely a flag but he was definitely dancing around it and didn't like it. Vs the announcers in the Ravens game bending over backwards trying to justify a terrible flag
