Much has changed that leads one to believe he can ascend back to top 5 production - health and new middle of DL - however, the cynical part of me says he is more like top 15...thoughts?

I love Ray Lewis as a player probably more than anyone on this board. He's one of my Top 5 favorite athletes of all time. With that being said I don't believe at all that he's Top 5 LBer in FF anymore. I believe he'll be more of a fringe Top 20 LBer. I've watched him closely this pre-season and he just doesn't close in on tackles like he used to. The heart is still there, but the body doesn't seem willing. I would love to be wrong on this, but I really just don't think he's elite anymore. Bump up Bart Scott. Expect 80-25 from Lewis and count yourself lucky if he plays in 16 to get you that.Good luck!

Ray can still run, but I've noticed during the preseason that his stop-and-cut ability doesn't seem to be there anymore.

Ray Lewis will be a top LB'er for this season.

He is injury free and listening to him in an interview he is very ready to have an outstanding season.

He realizes he is the leader of the team and he feels he is one of the reasons McNair is on the team.

He is ready to kick serious butt this year.

Unless he is physically limited and wont admit it to himself, I would be surprised if he is not top 3 actually.

Lewis v Witherspoon...are they on same level of production in 2006?
I'm high enough on Witherspoon that I think it'll be close. And both have questions. Lewis (return from injury, age). Witherspoon (new defense, new position). I think Lewis probably outproduces Spoon but not by a large margin.
