Ray Rice hand/thumb injury (1 Viewer)

Per Rotoworld this AM ....

Ray Rice suffered minor hand and thumb injuries in Thursday's win over the 49ers.

Rice's hand was reportedly "taped up" after Baltimore's 16-6 victory, but it doesn't even sound like he will be forced to miss any practice time next week. Coming off a tough outing against the league's best run defense, Rice should have a much easier time with Cleveland's 29th ranked run defense in Week 13.

Anyone think this is more significant than the initial report? I have R. Williams and was thinking of dropping him for a backup RB lottery ticket (Jacquizz Rodgers or Isaac Redman). Hold Williams or take a lottery ticket?

Worse case scenario is it is broke, but other backs have played with a broken hand. It might affect his catching though, so I would bump him down some if it is serious. But I would be surprised if this causes him to miss any time.

The good news is that he has a long week to prepare for the next game and get used to playing with the tape.

We should have expected this. The 49ers have a burgeoning hitlist of running backs they've sent to the injury report this season.

Why should Ray Rice be any different? If anything, we should be thankful the injury seems to be minor instead of a 1-way ticket to injured reserve.

Rice is funny on this Thnxgiving episode of Sound FX. Yelling at a lot of people (mostly Leach it seems) and then apologizing in the next breath.
