RB Brian Robinson Jr. - WAS (1 Viewer)

Zach Selby @ZachSelbyWC

Turner said the offense is excited to get Brian Robinson back. He's not going to come in and carry the ball 30 times whenever he does come back, but he is going to give the offense some extra juice
Maybe not right away. But eventually 20+ may be possible.
Plus he's got all his teammates, the fans, and the general public behind him. Probably the feel good story of the year and have to think they are going to give him every chance to succeed.

Brian Robinson Jr. just burst up the middle on a handoff and ran right by Ron Rivera. On his way back, Rivera stopped the RB to give him a fist bump and pat on the back. Was smiling too, almost like, “Wow, this guy looks good”
And here's to you, Brian Robinson, Rivera loves you more than you will know...
Stop it, get some help. haha

Best case scenario: They ease him back in, but by the 4th quarter he's getting the majority of snaps, to the point that we feel comfortable using him by next week.

If you're starting him this week, I commend your bravery, tip my cap and wish you good luck.

Brian Robinson rushed nine times for 22 yards in the Commanders' Week 5 loss to the Titans.

Robinson led all Washington running backs in carries on the day but averaged a meager 2.4 YPC. His first career carry, a solid nine-yard rush, was called back by a holding penalty, but the rookie didn't appear to be slowed by the leg injury that kept him sidelined for the first four weeks. Antonio Gibson was the only other running back to receive carries for the Commanders on Sunday (3/6/0). Robinson could quickly become the lead back in Washington, but expectations should be tempered in Week 6 against the Bears.

Reportedly starting tonight against a CHI D struggling to stop the run. Anyone rolling him out? If so, who are you benching?
It’s either him or Eno Benjamin for me at flex.

But with the Conner news I think I have to roll Eno.

I hope he has a great night either way. My team could use a spark. And he’s my feel good story of the year.

NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Brian Robinson will start tonight for the Commanders.

Well, he lead all Washington backs in carries in his return from a robbery attempt. This has been on the wall since training camp, but it says a lot about where Antonio Gibson is in the organization's good graces that this much hype is being put into Robinson's side. He can be started tonight as a volume-based FLEX.

looking at him or Curtis Samuel... to sub in for Tee Higgins at flex.

By flex, you mean play someone at RB or WR tonight I hope
yeah T didn't practice today so I'm playing it safe and getting some points.

I think you're missing the point, which is never start a player in the flex spot if you can start them in a designated position, but I could be wrong
A lot of sites it doesn't matter. If you have a player in at flex and his game starts it swaps him to a specific position.

That said, I don't recall which sites (I think Yahoo and/or RTS) so I always make sure to put earlier starting starters in the position spots.

RT does. Yahoo doesn’t.

Always have to be a bit careful though - starting doesn’t necessarily mean carrying the load - and it could also be an honor to him on a national stage. All that said, given how much Gibson seems to have fallen out of favor and how Robinson was ascending before the accident, it wouldn’t be surprising to see them give Robinson as much volume as he can handle.

Own him a lot and of course he's easy to pull for but there is no way he's going into any of my lineups tonight. In general I can't see me putting him in a lineup unless out of total desperation so long as Gibson and Mckinnon are healthy and active. Just feels like the kind of guy that if he does not get a TD he does not get your 10 fantasy points, in PPR.

I sincerely hope my post above is worthy or laughter and ridicule after tonight. Just hard to see this working out for fantasy right now.

I got options for my flex but **** it I'm running him out there as I'm projected to lose against a loaded team this week so might as well. I got Cook and Wilson starting with Pierce on a bye as my RBs 1-2. I'm feeling if I don't start him and he has a huge night I'm regretting it. So in a week I', gonna lose anyway why not?

Kept him on the bench even with bye and injury issues. A little too early and he may not be a factor in the passing game. Would have been in the flex and I have several sound WR options.

As someone who didn’t start him tonight but desperately needs another RB, this was exactly what I wanted. He didn’t bust out to the point where I regret sitting him, but he showed me enough that I feel good about penciling him in as my RB2 going forward

I only benched him because I rolled with Mixon. A Jones and Jeff Wilson (who has been running well behind the OL)

Decisions will be tough going forward

Wentz is the problem here. Can he do enough to sustain drives and get enough touches for B Rob.

I hate speaking in hypotheticals, but that TD gets erased if not for a muffed punt.

Having said that. Balls bounce every game, and guys get TDs because of it. Part of the game.

I own him and am excited about it. Gibson actually looked pretty good running the ball on his lone drive.

60 yds and a TD, you likely have had him a couple weeks or more, not a horrible time to sell or package with another and get some something in return.
I also want to see more of him next week, he looks like he could break a long run like we saw Herbert tonight, obviously would increase his value if he snapped off a 30-40 yd run

Is it really? I'm in the same boat and sat him everywhere but he looked really average to me.

17 carries in his second game after returning on a short week was really nice to see but he was a zero in the passing game and Gibson looked a lot more explosive.

I'm where I was before the game started when I posted that he's the kind of guy who if he does not score a TD probably won't get you 10 PPR points.

Got me 12PTS liked what I saw. I might have 4 legit Backs with Cook/Pierce/Wilson/BRob now with Etienne there as well. Plenty of Depth at WR too from Hill/Devonta Smith/K Allen/Renfrow/Pickens.

He's my RB4/5 as well
Going 3-Back this weekend with Jones-Wilson and Stevenson who might do better than both of the starers I typically use. That's not a lot of firepower at RB mind you but I have a WR trio that would make a blind man blush so I am typically just happy that my RBs are not going down with lengthy injuries. When we get into the double digit weeks and the weather turns cold outside of Miami and Los Angeles, things change and RBs are even more involved with bad weather grounding the air attack for some of these finesse teams.

I color coded the combos I would put together to try and grab a 2-4-1 with the intention of upgrading a starter.

Where would you suggest the upgrade? Renfrom was on a Bye and I was thinking of trading him anyway this is a 1O player keeper league with 1O teams BTW

Who wants Renfrow? Hollins was playing over him in 2WR sets now.
