Clyde Edwards-Helaire had 7 (!) evaded tackles last night.
Last years league leader Josh Jacobs averaged 5.3 per game. That boy good!
Is this a point-per-falling-down-purposely-at-the-goal-line league? If so, not nearly enough! Was just offered Mixon, Ridley, Burrows, and a 1st round pick next year. Some crazy stuff coming in!

I'm not saying that's what happened here but you've really never seen that? Ahmad Bradshaw did in a SuperBowl once on the biggest stage. There was at least three times I can remember players stopping at the one and falling down to run clock - and that's without really thinking about it.Letting the offense score is different than telling a teammate to fall down at the goal line.
I love CEH - but you better have taken that. Was just offered Mixon, Ridley, Burrows, and a 1st round pick next year. Some crazy stuff coming in!
I’ve seen the “fall down instead of score” far more often than the “let the other team score” strategy. The latter is far more rare IMO.I'm not saying that's what happened here but you've really never seen that? Ahmad Bradshaw did in a SuperBowl once on the biggest stage. I haven't done anything yet. It's still just sitting.......waiting.I love CEH - but you better have taken that.
CLYDE EDWARDS-HELAIRE ISN'T AN EXCEPTION TO THE “RUNNING BACKS DON'T MATTER” MOVEMENT, BUT MAN IS IT FUN TO WATCH HIM EVADE TACKLES
Selecting running backs in the first round of the NFL draft is something that we at PFF don't particularly condone, but we did think that Clyde Edwards-Helaire was a perfect fit for the reigning Super Bowl champions. We saw that last night.
Edwards-Helaire was a tackle-evading machine at LSU — he broke a total of 104 tackles across 361 rushing attempts in his two years as a starter with the Tigers — and he broke seven tackles on 25 carries last night. On top of that, he averaged 4.2 yards after contact per rush attempt.
In the first three quarters — when the Chiefs weren't running out the clock — Edwards-Helaire picked up five-plus yards after contact on five of his 14 runs; he bounced in and out of cuts and can make defenders just look silly trying to tackle him, just as we saw last night.
The fact he had just one target was interesting, but I would expect that to climb in the coming weeks, given the receiving ability he displayed consistently throughout LSU's historic 2019 season.
Are there any other considerations, like salary cap, keeper spots/contract years, etc? If it's standard dynasty seems like a no-brainer, although you may have to deal some of those parts to truly max out the value.I haven't done anything yet. It's still just sitting.......waiting.
not with the rest of that package. Burrow & Ridley aren't scrubs, and he gets a future 1st!I bet he can do better than Mixon, though.
for....?I haven't done anything yet. It's still just sitting.......waiting.
You are correct. The team making the deal is not going to be very good so there's a good chance that 1st turns into a top 3 pick. You keep 10 players every year. No contracts or salary cap or anything like that.not with the rest of that package. Burrow & Ridley aren't scrubs, and he gets a future 1st!
I also have to assume the team willing to make that deal may not finish with the best of records in 2020.
Sprint and accept that dude. What the heck.I haven't done anything yet. It's still just sitting.......waiting.
lol - not every game will they be up 2 scores with 2 mins to go. I’d be willing to bet he scores there if the game is on the line. You are correct. The team making the deal is not going to be very good so there's a good chance that 1st turns into a top 3 pick. You keep 10 players every year. No contracts or salary cap or anything like that.
I think CEH looked great last night but I think it's time to cash out as his value might be as high as it's going to go. Plus if he keeps falling down on purpose at the goal line he will never reach his full potential!! LOL
Woah... you should absolutely accept it before that guy takes it downI haven't done anything yet. It's still just sitting.......waiting.
Whoa. Finally something everyone at FBG can agree on!Woah... you should absolutely accept it before that guy takes it down
There is no player in fantasy that I would decline that offer for. That is an overpay for CEH by about the value of Mixon!Whoa. Finally something everyone at FBG can agree on!
....except of course dude who received that trade offer.

Exactly as I saw it. If someone offered me Mixon+Ridley for CEH I’d probably strongly consider it.There is no player in fantasy that I would decline that offer for. That is an overpay for CEH by about the value of Mixon!
Yeah I have Barkley and CEH on one team, Zeke and McC on another, and Kamara and Cook in another. It wouldn’t be a no-brainer smash accept for any of them besides CEH (maybe Zeke) for any of those but I’d come to my senses quick and accept. The odds of “winning” that trade are just so much in your favor. Mixon isn’t far behind any of these guys - especially with what that offense could become. There is no player in fantasy that I would decline that offer for. That is an overpay for CEH by about the value of Mixon!
Good Lord, that’s an instant accept. The hype is out of control. Was just offered Mixon, Ridley, Burrows, and a 1st round pick next year. Some crazy stuff coming in!
My patience is paying off man lol. Another team offered Lamar, Akers, and a #1 next year (has a good chance of being #1 overall pick). Let the bidding war begin! Those would be the only two teams in the league that will probably make offers though.Whoa. Finally something everyone at FBG can agree on!
....except of course dude who received that trade offer.

1. You play with crazy people. My patience is paying off man lol. Another team offered Lamar, Akers, and a #1 next year (has a good chance of being #1 overall pick). Let the bidding war begin! Those would be the only two teams in the league that will probably make offers though.
The CEH hype is out of control. A deal will be made shortly either way. Anyone else getting crazy offers for him? I've never really seen anything like this.
Those two guys are def a little crazy. No doubt. I accepted offer #1.1. You play with crazy people.
2. 1st deal is better.
That’s the trade of the year. None will come close. Those two guys are def a little crazy. No doubt. I accepted offer #1.
Trade him while hes hot!
Mixon, Ridley, Burrow & a 2021 1.xx?I'm going to try to top it LOL
No crazy offers have come my way yet, but I just sent a message to everyone saying keep the CEH offers coming. I will move him for the right deal. Marketing 101![]()
Clyde Edwards-Helaire's impressive debut: The Chiefs' selection of Edwards-Helaire at the end of the first round back in April spawned months of buzz, with the LSU product advertised as a perfect fit in Andy Reid's offense. Well, judging by the rookie's impressive debut in Thursday night's convincing win over Houston, all of that hype was justified.
CEH posted a 100-yard game (138 rushing yards and a touchdown on 25 carries) while displaying a slippery running style that reminds veteran scouts of former All-Pro running back Brian Westbrook. After watching the Kickoff Game, it's easy to see why Reid is already smitten with his new ball carrier. The 5-foot-8, 209-pounder flashes a combination of stop-start quickness, balance and body control that makes him hard to corral in traffic or in space. Edwards-Helaire's elusiveness and burst, in particular, stood out in a performance that provided the football world with a glimpse of a more balanced offensive approach from Kansas City.
And here's the really scary part for the rest of the NFL: Edwards-Helaire left Baton Rouge with a reputation as a premium pass-catching threat out of the backfield, yet he didn't record a single reception on Thursday. With the Chiefs poised to eventually tap into their RB1's dynamic playmaking skills in the air game, the Super Bowl champions are still scratching the surface of their offensive capabilities.
Yes agreed. I was not as bullish on him as others prior to this game and it's a long season, but he looked great in game 1. Really nice start for the rookie. He's not a pile mover but he packs a pretty good punch for a 5'7" guy.
All it takes is one guy to step up!! It could happen lolMixon, Ridley, Burrow & a 2021 1.xx?
Unpossible.![]()
He said it's a 10 keeper league.Exactly as I saw it. If someone offered me Mixon+Ridley for CEH I’d probably strongly consider it.
Burrow+Mixon would likely also get it done.
Add in that 2021 1.xx pick and it’s a slam dunk.
But to get ALL that tasty goodness in one package?![]()
As you said - there isn’t a player in the game I wouldn’t click accept for that.
Yes, I read that.He said it's a 10 keeper league.
Still a great offer but Burrow is a cut next off-season (and likely never starts for him this yr) in a keep 10, one qb league. Keeping Ridley will require cutting another strong player as well.
QBs are totally worthless in a 10 team 1 QB league. They are kickers.Yes, I read that.
10 is a lot. Why would Burrow be a cut? And Ridley is an ascending player.
weird take.
Agree to disagree. If Burrow turns out to be something special he will most certainly be worth more than a kicker.QBs are totally worthless in a 10 team 1 QB league. They are kickers.
In a 10 team league i dont think it was that great of a deal. And one i typically try to avoid.Agree to disagree. If Burrow turns out to be something special he will most certainly be worth more than a kicker.
Regardless that package was good enough without Burrow.
1.xx pick, Ridley & Mixon get it done IMO.
who said it was a 10-team league? He said it was a keep 10 league. I don’t see that anywhere. In a 10 team league i dont think it was that great of a deal. And one i typically try to avoid.
I believe it is a 12-teamer.In a 12+ team league its a much better deal and i get that. Jmo.
Sure, just explaining why Burrow is a drop in that format. Unless he goes all LJax or Mahomes of course.Agree to disagree. If Burrow turns out to be something special he will most certainly be worth more than a kicker.
Regardless that package was good enough without Burrow.
1.xx pick, Ridley & Mixon get it done IMO.
In a 10 team keeper its a mixon for CEH deal. Id rather CEH. I could fill QB and WR with Burrow or Ridley equiv pretty ez.who said it was a 10-team league? He said it was a keep 10 league. I don’t see that anywhere.
I believe it is a 12-teamer.
also Mixon isn’t an elite player? Might wanna tell the 85,000,000 teams that made him a late 1st/early 2nd that.![]()
Agreed, it really depends on the rest of his roster. Burrow is a very likely cut if his other QB is Mahomes, Jackson, etc., but maybe not if it's Brees, Rodgers, etc. Same with Ridley- very likely a keeper but could be a small or large upgrade over the guy he has to now cut instead. He said it's a 10 keeper league.
Still a great offer but Burrow is a cut next off-season (and likely never starts for him this yr) in a keep 10, one qb league. Keeping Ridley will require cutting another strong player as well.
Yeah when I thought it was a no brainer I thought it was a full dynasty. This surely changes things.Sure, just explaining why Burrow is a drop in that format. Unless he goes all LJax or Mahomes of course.
Agree that it's still a smash accept, just not quite as insane as we originally thought haha.
I think it still is a good deal, but I might not obliterate my finger and the mouse in the process of accepting.Yeah when I thought it was a no brainer I thought it was a full dynasty. This surely changes things.
Yes that’s an easy decline. Even if you don’t believe in CEH, his value is way higherI was just offered Mike Evans for my CEH in PPR dynasty. Decline
And although I own Evans in one league and will most likely ride him out, there’s a very good chance his value declines by the end of the season as I don’t think he’s a great fit with Brady. I hope he scores enough TDs to make up for the probable decline in catches and yards.Yes that’s an easy decline. Even if you don’t believe in CEH, his value is way higher
Would decline.I was just offered Mike Evans for my CEH in PPR dynasty. Decline
