I've got DJ in a keeper league; got him as a rookie for cheap, and can keep him for 2 more years (after 2017). His salary is 7% of the cap for the rest of his contract, while the other top guys are/will be around 35% of the cap, typically. Even the hot rookies from this year (Hunt, Fournette, Cook, Mixon, McCaffrey) are like 20%-25% of the cap. There are a couple cheaper top RBs (Ajayi, Howard, etc) than DJ, but he is, by far, the biggest value in that league.
That being said, I'm considering offering him to the Zeke owner. He's all but out of the hunt for the playoffs & Zeke is his best player. Zeke's cost would be prohibitive against keeping him next year (especially if the suspension is bumped to next year) & I'm worried with Carson's injury, Ari will fall out of playoff contention & DJ might not return. I will wait until after the hearing on the 30th to decide, but I might trade 2 future years of super-cheap DJ for a run at the championship this year.
