Blake Allen Murphy @blakemurphy7
Interesting name brought up from Cardinals camp by RB Corey Clement is undrafted RB Emari Demercado—specifically called out that he did well in picking up the offense and pass protection calls. Mentioned him in the same breath as Michael Wilson when talking rookies.

Came up huge in the national semi too
Well, brining his name to the top of the queue... and put in a WW bid for him ($1 of $200) but 25 man rosters in 12 Team 1 QB league ... so worth a 2-3 week hold/pickup stash.I've actually been hoping his name doesn't come up so I can get him on the real cheap for dynasty. Played behind Zach Evans and Kendre Miller at TCU, two guys who are nothing to sneeze at. 4.44 at his Pro Day, giving him around less than a 4.5 adjusted. Good speed score. Low burst score at thirty percent but good agility at around 80th percentile.
In all, the numbers look good. You could do a ton worse for a long shot. He compares favorably to Keontay Ingram's testing, but didn't even get enough run to be a focus of any Matt Waldman profile. In short, a lottery ticket.
How’s he look and was the Conner injury serious?8-40 with an 11yard TD run replacing Conner after he went out hurt

You chose wrong but it happensThey do seem to have some faith in K Ingram.
Personally Ive held Ingram in dynasty (4 leagues) for a year waiting for the inevitable Connor injury. Of course when it comes Ingram is also hurt.
But can he consistently catch the rock?Unless the coaching staff plays it conservative or sticks with "their guy," Demercado is a better running back than Ingram. Ingram started at USC while Demercado sat behind Zach Evans and Kendre Miller, two guys in the NFL. That's why you don't know about him and you know about Ingram. But I'll bet dimes that Demercado is a better back in the pros.
He runs a little harder, faster, stronger.

He didn’t catch a ton of balls at TCU. But he does have decent hands. He always ran hard for the Frogs and was sort of stuck behind higher perceived talent. Always loved this kid.But can he consistently catch the rock?Unless the coaching staff plays it conservative or sticks with "their guy," Demercado is a better running back than Ingram. It wouldn’t surprise me one bit if Emari Demercado was an absolute WORKHORSE in Week 6
I'm considering starting him over Ford in the flex. Ingram is just not good.Adam Koffler

You were close. Ha habid 14 on him, went for 77.

Do the Cardinals have the slowest group of WRs in the NFL? I think they're all around 4.6. Murray was under alot of pressure. Not much separation, none by MJH on the TD catch, and not much on the other key throw. He's going to be a quick pick up this week but it should be noted that the Cards offense is mostly terrible right now
Cards offense looks very BLAH to me... I don't know if it's the play-calling, Murray's erratic play, both... seems like the QB and WRs are on different pages a lot. Straight dive hand off every 1st down... just flat.
Agreed, but you can't do that for a whole game. And Kyler will eventually take the shot that costs him games (or the season).Cards offense looks very BLAH to me... Sure. But if they decide to speed them up and spread 'em out then I think Kyler can run that and that's some fantasy gold. Likelihood of that happening? Not very good, Check back when they are in desperate straits.

Just feels like the offense is so vanilla. IDK. Let's see what October brings.
It's worse than that, the WRs for the most part do not work their way back to help Kyler Murray when he is under pressure which is quite oftenDo the Cardinals have the slowest group of WRs in the NFL? Demercado is slated for expanded backfield opportunities, beginning Sunday versus the Titans, with Trey Benson (knee) in line to be placed on IR, Darren Urban of the Cardinals' official site reports.
Demercado looked solid in a change-of-pace role behind Benson during last Thursday's 23-20 loss to Seattle, in which he rushed twice for eight yards and secured both of his targets for 13 yards and a touchdown. With Benson now out at least four games and James Conner (foot) already lost for the season, Demercado and Michael Carter now become positioned to lead Arizona's backfield, while Bam Knight steps into the No. 3 role. It's possible that Demercado still primarily operates as a pass-catching specialist, but at 215 pounds he's more suitable than the 201-pound Carter for between-the-tackles work. Especially in PPR formats, this development places Demercado firmly on the fantasy radar, though the Cardinals now become strong candidates to pursue further backfield additions.
I did the same, but I'm going to need to see something out of him before I consider putting him in my lineup (and no, scoring in a two-minute drill like he did last week is not enough)I picked him up over Carter. Could be a mistake but it's a coin flip. I'll go with the guy who was still getting touches and on the actual roster.
Ernie dropped an easy walk in TD against the 49ers. Settled for a FG which probably cost them that game.Demarcado reminds me of when the NY Jest somehow used Michael Carter as a 3rd down back, subbing out Hall. Just because you have a guy on the rooster doesn’t mean you need or should use said guy as a 3rd down back. Case in point Demercado. I don’t think he does anything better than Benson. Should be on the field when Benson needs a blow. Otherwise, Cards gonna Cards. And Murray is terrible.
