Due respect but that makes no sense.
If he were willing to take a modest extension, all of this drama would have been avoided.
None of it happened until he made demands for a new contract.
Shockingly enough, I completely disagree. The Colts weren't willing to discuss
any extension, how can you possibly say "if he were willing to take a modest extension" when he wasn't offered one? Then Irsay opened his dumb mouth, making things worse perhaps to the point where he would take less than he wanted just to get out of that mess.
Again though - he wasn’t asking for a trade until he asked for more money & the Colts owner opened his fool mouth.
So had the Colts been willing to give him a “modest extension” this entire fiasco would have been avoided.
The suggestion that he’d take such a thing now after all this seems implausible given the timeline of events.
So because the Colts weren't willing to give him a "modest extension", you can deduce that he wouldn't take one now, from a team that he views as a better situation? How does that make any sense whatsoever?
