RB Josh Jacobs, GB (2 Viewers)

I think going into the year, as the coach, your concern is what's the appropriate amount for work to give Jacobs. Going into week 4 he had 62 carries in 3 games. Gotta be in the back of your mind that the number might be a little high. Minnesota jumps out quick and huge. Seemed kinda smart to pick this spot to lower usage. He is 7th in carries after 4 weeks. Gotta believe at seasons end, barring injury, he is a lock for top ten in carries. He had 4 receptions week 4 which is more then first 3 weeks combined. Hopefully that's a trend. Love is back. Offense is good. Defense is decent. Barring health I am really not concerned with Jacobs fantasy wise

Dude had 5.7 ypc. He just didn't get carries. Not sure why with that success rate
Other than his 30+ carry game, I feel he has been underutilized. He seems not existent in the passing game.
Maybe he really just isn't that good. I fell for it.
I'd agree with that if he wasn't putting up good stats, but he is when he gets his number called. He just didn't get the carries. For the year, he's only had SIX touches/targets combined inside the 10 yard line and only 12 inside the 20. Compare that to Kyren Williams who has 31 carries/targets inside the 20. He isn't getting the valuable touches to offset the decrease in volume.

He's 7th in the NFL in rushing. Clear lead back on his team. Having a good season overall.

He's the only RB in the top 15 in rushing who hasn't scored a rushing TD yet, which is clearly an anomaly.

With Love back, the offense will be generating points, and Jacobs will get some end zone visits to boost his FF stats.

I think he's on track to outproduce his draft slot.

Statistically improbable for him to have the start he has had and the pieces just haven’t come together. All the underlying data is there and general positivity

He's had unbelievably bad TD luck.

I mean, dope LaFleur loses his mind when the ball was on the 1 yard line robbing Jacobs of a TD attempt.

He was still being used in comeback mode. Had 4 catches. Good sign.

Positive regression candidate.

Wr corp might be missing Watson and Doubs. Going against a mediocre run defense. Playing an offense that has struggled. Time for Jacobs to eat and find that endzone. 100 yard game a TD incoming.

I littered this thread with posts suggesting his snap count would be less then he had with the Raiders and more in the 55-60% ratio. That was when I was assuming Dillon and Lloyd would be playing.

It's currently 63.4% so tick higher then I forecast but lower then I'd have thought if you told me Dillon and Lloyd were out of the picture.

If we thought or hoped we would be getting 2022 Josh Jacobs it's probably become clear by now we won't.

But I still think he's a massive positive regression candidate and his price got so cheap that I got him as late as round 5, usually in mid 4th. I mean sure I'd rather have drafted Kamara but you usually won't make the perfect pick and I think he's going to be ok for those of us who paid that kind of price for him. I don't at all hate that I drafted him. Not yet anyway.

60 yards, Wilson splits time and vultures the TD
What’s sad is you’re probably right
Nah I was just messing with @FarFromHome because he's got Jacobs in our Shark Pool league
I just don't like this side of you. Ha ha

He’s not washed is he…?
I wouldn't say washed, but fair to say he had a career peak two years ago with massive volume. That and the team likes to use some sort of RBBC and with all the receiving options, does not need to throw much to the RBs.

Not sure why they gave him such a big contract (for an RB) honestly.

He's 5th in rushing and on pace for 1600 total yards. It's a long season and, under ideal circumstances, GB isn't going to give any one player the loco workload that fantasy managers crave.

(To say nothing of the fact that Aaron Jones is already iffy to play in Week 7...)

In 3 games with Love, he's had 104, 94, and 90 total yards (on 18, 20, and 21 touches respectively).
Positive TD regression should be coming.

Jones and Jacobs are within a few points of each other for fantasy regardless of format.

I think it's gets cold in Green Bay, so maybe they'll have to run it more when the conditions worsen. I am holding onto him.

He's top 5 in the NFL in rushing yards. Dobbins would likely be ahead of him if not for having a week 5 bye, but generally Jacobs has been an effective player this season. We just haven't had that one week where everything clicks. The nice thing is that you know every week he's going to be heavily involved with the opportunity to break off a long one or steal a red zone TD.

Unless Lloyd comes back and somehow turns this into a RBBC, Jacobs is looking like a reliable high-floor option who still has some latent upside. He's not winning me games, but he's not losing me games either.

NFL Network flagged Josh Jacobs as a caution start this week with negative game script concerns under the scenario where the Texans jump out to a lead.

At 2-5 in dynasty.. trying to figure out if he is a keep or sell.

Was offered Etienne and McConkey, but not sure if that's enough.
I think Jacobs has another year left...maybe...I feel there are small signs of decline this year. Plus his actual role and usage is a bit maddening to help him achieve his theoretical ceiling. I think he's a sell for the right price and those two seem like a pretty solid price for him if it's PPR

It's standard scoring unfortunately.. my team is loaded but injuries and playing the wrong teams on the wrong week is leaving me 2-5. Daniels, CMC, JTaylor, Collins, Aiyuk injured and still have Mahomes, Barkley, JJacobs, ARSB, JSN, Kelce and McBride.

I'd take it and I'm not down on Jacobs. At all.

Mainly taking advantage of the downprice on ETN as many will assume, what sounds like incorrectly to me, that Bigbsy might take his job. I'm not here to debate if Bigsby should, just does not sound like he will.

So if I"m not feeling my teams is competitive I'd do this. I've view Ladd as getting back value on par with a late one and I'd view ETN as someone whose value could pick up in a few weeks and could end up netting close to similar. I'm not counting on Jacobs having tangible valeu past the 2025 season.

Josh Jacobs asked what he thought when Jordan Love dropped out, and #Packers essentially put game in his hands.

“I just wanted to come in and make a statement that we can still win games running the ball.”

Jacobs finished 127 yards and 2 TDs on 25 carries, averaging 5.1 yards.

Lloyd is a big talent and should be in the handcuff mix if and when he's healthy.

I've always been high on Jacobs and have been leaning on him in redraft and DFS this year. I don't think Lloyd will cut into his workload, but Lloyd is an exciting prospect.

Right now I am on the outside looking in at the playoffs but only by 1 game in a 14 team dynasty. I was offered Etienne and McConkey for JJacobs. I rejected for now. If I am out of it I may reexamine the deal as I think Lloyd may impact Jacob's production next year, but not so much this year.

Big game coming up so if it's mild I'd think he'll gut it out like he always seems to do.

If it's not mild, the bye is next week so...
