RB Kareem Hunt, KC (2 Viewers)

I dont doubt that as a possibility...They held it all year, but drop it in week 13 of the NFL season? Until someone gives me a better reason why it was released now, what other reason can we deduce? Am I to believe TMZ just received it?
Its why I think it was the women in the video optained it through threatening legal action. Mad that the NFL nor the Cops did anything about it probably went to TMZ who paid a good price. Hunt's team is doing well going to the playoffs. No better time then now to send it. Well she could've waited till week 17 or done it a few days before the KC's first playoff game. Why I believe it was the girl is what was pointed out. Her friend is filming what's going on? A good friend sees their friend having an issue possible getting out of hand and tries to calm them down but also take them away from the situation. Hunt was an idiot for being baited into touching yeah but these girls don't seem like innocent bystanders of the situation either.

It might have taken a lot of negotiation between unnamed sources, possibly money and a bribe.

TMZ has never been above stuff like that.

Not that it colors my view of the video. It just might explain the timing.
We're talking TMZ who are the scum of the earth when it comes to media. If I'm talking about Journalistic integrity TMZ is very far down on my list. If TMZ finds a story they can get huge hits on they don't care who's livelihoods they hurt or the destruction of people's families as long as they get their money. They are known for if they know someone with video or picture of getting in touch with them and bribing them for said material to put on their site and on TV. This doesn't excuse anything that happened in February but TMZ is scummy bottom feeders of media. I actually met the former Producer of TMZ's show Ryan Satin in hilly during a WWE event as he founded Pro Wrestling Sheet a rumor, news and dirt sheet for MMA and wrestling. The dude is a one of a kind D-bag. Basically admitted to me he doesn't care about someone's career being ruined as long as he gets his hits which =$$$ and he learned that at TMZ. TMZ journalists are the type who will bait someone famous to do something stupid just for a story.

It really doesn't matter if there is an R or not at the end. No one should say it. To quote Stephan A Smith after the Riley Cooper situation anyone who uses it sounds like an idiot and shouldn't be taken seriously. Any black person who's offended by it probably uses it like they do words like Yes and No. Smith was called things by the Black community such as a Uncle Tom and many used other racial slurs against him for his statement which was 100% true. Black people using it and then being offended when others use it are hypocrites. White people using it sound like backwoods white trash and sound dumb and aren't "gangsta" or whatever the "cool kids" say these days. Trying to defend the use of it makes you no better.
I agree, and corporations that pay players and artist who use the word are hypocrites as well imo.

Men shouldn't fight women dude, noone should have to explain that to you.
Never said Men should fight women simple showing the hypocrisy. These fans fight and some drunken women gets punched you see the comment section of yeah she deserved it, what a fat cow, etc etc. Then these are the people saying oh my god that player is a scumbag for hitting her. Well what is it did she deserve it or are they a scumbag or are both wrong? People like to be on their morale high horses when it comes to sports stars but some random fangirl drunk off his ### gets nailed its good for the guy.

I agree, and corporations that pay players and artist who use the word are hypocrites as well imo.
Yep they are the biggest including the people who buy the crap. Oh it's offensive to me but then they go all saying to people yeah that's My N or yeah those N are on fire or what you don't want an N like me? Don't get me wrong I like Rap old school and early 2000s with Nelly and stuff but one of his songs that jumps out to me from 10 yrs ago or so Just want to Liv tonight one of the segments is

"Hey Dj its the Same N with a new girl from last week". Now if this DJ was white and says this you think he's getting away with that?

You then have the people like the blacks saying America and saying they won't bring an N down or whatever. Those people really don't care about racist as they are themselves. Its a word no one should use. I have gay friends and they all hate the F bomb that refers to a gay person. Now imagine if they went around calling each other hey this is a my F or hey that's a sexy F right there. Hypocrisy. To me it all harkens back if it's offensive to you then don't use it yourself. The excuses are nothing but copouts and make you look bad.

ProFootballTalk's Mike Florio considers the Eagles a candidate to claim Kareem Hunt off waivers.

Hunt is facing a lengthy suspension under the Personal Conduct Policy, but his release from the Chiefs was trust-related after he lied to the team back in February. Unlike Ray Rice, Hunt's a cost controlled superstar in the prime of his career that's going to be cleared to play at some point. Signed through 2020, there's upside in stashing Hunt for teams that are willing to take the PR hit. Hunt has Ohio ties and was drafted by Browns GM John Dorsey in Kansas City. Washington, Baltimore, and Tampa are all running back needy teams that could also have interest.

It was obvious he's get another shot, just not next year. In 2020 the media hit would've died down; a team could red-shirt him in 2019 while he serves his suspension, then send him on a community outreach blitz where he becomes a spokesman against domestic violence. That'll fix his rep while he hits the NFL media circuit apologizing for his actions.

I mean, he didn't kneel in protest of unarmed people of color getting killed, he just roughed up a 19 year old girl. I'm sure he'll get a fair chance.

About your magic football team 😀

I'm calling out the hypocrisy. SO many people will say hunt is wrong but the next time they see a fan fight video with a guy and female and the female getting hit they'll say she deserved it. There's so many double standards it's troubling. Sorry if you are one of those and got "offended" for me calling it out. If this was some guy Hunt said we'd see things like dam Hunt is an idiot but the guy deserved it. We may not even see a suspension. Shady McCoy didn't get suspended for beating the crap out of the two off duty cops but I bet ya if they were women there'd been an uproar. There was even video of McCoy and his posey sucker punching the cop and then beating them on the ground.
Your example is totally out of left field.

Are you an incel?

at a minimum,he'll get one year. Goodell banned Josh Gordon for drinking, I don't think he's going to go lightly on Hunt. he's not likely to see the field until late 2019 if not the 2020 season..or later. teams can't find RBs in the draft?! for the PR headache and the swarm of media that will follow i don't think teams want any part of that.

it was bad enough he pushed and shoved the woman, but kicking a person, male OR female,  while they're down, defenseless, and no longer a threat to you, is really bad.

and for that,it's HIGHLY  doubtful any team would want any piece of Hunt now or any time in the future.if you owned a business and saw that video would you hire the offender? no..

for the Chiefs it's not like they were going anywhere this season anyways. Reid doesn't win playoff games, we know this. they'll get the bye, host a game, and lose it.it's what he's always done in KC. we've seen this movie over and over and over and over again throughout  Reid's entire NFL HC career. this year is no different. 1 SB appearace in 86 years, badly outcoached in big games ( i.e., playoff football) , poor clock mgmt, etc. with or without Hunt they weren't winning anything.

I doubt it will even take that long. Mixon was drafted a mere 4 months after his video and that video was much worse.

If someone claims Hunt off waivers do this year's games count against whatever suspension he gets?

He is not suspended right now.

Schefter just tweeted that Hunt will be interviewed live by Lisa Salters tomorrow at 11 A.M. EST on ESPN.

:oldunsure:

Any suspension would not take effect until he joins another team and is removed from the exempt list, assuming that it carries over.

Thus nothing can "count" toward a suspension...

Are you sure of this?  The NFL routinely allows players who are free agents during a drug suspension to count weeks not on a team toward their mandated suspensions.  When they first implemented this it was said it was to prevent such players from never getting contracts because teams would rather sign someone who could help them right away than someone they know would be out for weeks.  It made sense in that context, but I’ve never seen anything that definitively addressed whether conduct suspensions would be handled differently.

Since this is the first time I’ve heard about this exempt list, not 100% but it would make sense that it would carry over to the next team.

The argument to your point is a player not on a team should not be allowed to “pay off” suspension time.  He’s not even suspended yet.

We shall see.

100%.  You're right, any games suspended count whether or not he's under contract, but they haven't suspended him yet.  He's on the Commissioner Exempt list and until they take him off of that and announce a suspension his time won't start ticking.

It doesn't count until he's actually suspended. If they come out and suspend him Monday yes I think the games count.

How is it out of left field? We want women treated equally right? Don't get mad when you get called out for being a hypocrite about it then.
So your idea of women being treated equally is for us to have the same reaction when a man hits one as when he hits another man? That’s messed up.

Your take on this reminds me of white people who complain that they’re not allowed to say the N word and black people are.

Stop with this hyperbole already, man. Serious question for you. Have you ever seen a man beat a woman? I don’t mean on video or in a movie, but in real life? I’m assuming that you haven’t, or you wouldn’t be so willing to die on this hill.

Yes, most of us in society would like to see women get treated as our equal. That doesn’t mean we want men to be able to physically assault women and look at it the same way as if it were man vs. man. You get this right?

No. Sadly he doesn't.

I'm saying if this was a 19 year old guy we'd be saying the guy didn't get enough from Hunt for acting like a punk. But because it was a female it's off limits. We want equal rights for all right? Not saying hitting either person is right but if hitting the girl wasn't right neither is it to hit the guy. Doesn't excuse Hunt. The girl acted like an idiot too. Both parties could've handled it better.

I never said it should give them the right. I'll just double post this.

Not saying hitting either person is right but if hitting the girl wasn't right neither is it to hit the guy which many guys saying he's a wrong for hitting the girl would've said for the guy well he deserved it for acting a fool. Why does the guy deserve it because not the female? Neither does deserve it if you want equal rights. Doesn't excuse Hunt. The girl acted like an idiot too. Both parties could've handled it better.

So I’ll take this as a no, you’ve never witnessed man on woman violence first hand.

And, you’ve posted multiple times that she deserved to get hit. I’m done with you. Maybe you’ll figure this all out one day. Hopefully it’s not because you witnessed it first hand with someone you care about.

I said a person spouting that language I have zero sympathy for. If some idiot is throwing racial slurs at my black neighbors I'm not gonna being a on looker I'm gonna do something about it. If it means getting violent then I will because the law just gives that type of behavior (Being a racist) a slap on the wrist.

Again you are completely ignoring the whole if this was a 19 yr old guy people would be saying good for Hunt. Why are you ignoring that? Is it because you're one of this epeople who is a hypocrite on this issue?

No. You said, multiple times, that she deserved to be hit. Your words.

I’m ignoring your made up, fairy tale because it’s just that. How do you know how I, or anyone else would feel if this was Hunt and another man? The fact is that this was a woman, not a man. No other made up, what if, situation applies. And you still ducked my original question. You’ve come across as a pretty vile person with your stance on this. How would you feel if this was your sister? Daughter? Still think she deserved to be hit?

This is my last response to you. My first was that you take a break from the internet. That still stands. Take a look at what you’ve posted here. It’s pretty disgusting.

I wouldn't. Either way, it's still assault.
You wouldn't but theres people on this forum and around this country who would be saying that and then saying well Hunt is a scumbag. We want equal rights like I said we need to next time some player hits some guy be just as upset about it. I saw very little outrage for McCoy hitting the off duty Philly cops where he sucker punches the one and him and his posey are beating and kicking the crap out of them on the ground. The league didn't suspend him and there was video. He got off at the time because the DA is a complete scumbag himself. Now tell me if that was a women instead of guys you don't think the NFL wouldn't suspend him plus more uproar? Why does Hunt get a worse reaction to Shady? Neither one is is right and both deserved lengthy suspensions. It's a double standard and completely hypocrisy by the public and the league. I won't take these leagues seriously until they take all these issues seriously but they won't until it effects their bottom line.

LeSean McCoy assaulted a Philly Cop where was the outcry for that? there was also no suspension despite video? But yeah I'm making stuff up. Yeah I said she deserved to be hit if what was coming out of her mouth is true. Someone who isn't racist doesn't spew that type of language EVER.

Holy ####, is there actually someone who doesn't understand that there's a massive difference between a guy hitting another guy and a guy hitting a female?

Seriously?

If anyone thinks that falls under the umbrella of "equal rights," I don't think there's any way to get through to them and it's not worth trying.

I've gotten into arguments with females in my life. Some have involved lots of alcohol or very stressful situations. At NO point have I ever come close to laying my hands on a woman in that way. Why? Because it's not to be done under any circumstances, ever. There has never been nor will there ever be a justification for that.

Whatever price Hunt has to pay, he deserves.

I've been slapped and I've been smacked. I've removed myself from the situation. There's never a scenario when it's OK to hit back.

I feel sorry for any man who wasn't raised that way and doesn't understand that. And in that case, I use the term "man" very loosely, because a man doesnt hit a woman, ever.

Should a man hit a man ever?

The Athletic's Nate Taylor reports Kareem Hunt is expected to be suspended the first six games of the 2019 season.

The NFL's investigation into Hunt won't be concluded until the offseason. He'll spend the rest of this year either out of the league or on the Commissioner Exempt List if he gets claimed off waivers. The optics of Hunt's situation have him in a bad spot with teams. Hunt may have to wait for the league to hand down discilpine, but we expect him to resurface.

Ok, I'm out of this conversation. When there are "men" who are actually trying to justify why it's ever OK to hit a woman or that it's in any way equivalent to hitting another man, I need to step away. Have at it guys.

The audio on the video is pretty clear

Being a racist is not an illegal act in this country.  While I (and the vast majority of the country, I believe) abhor racism and will actively disagree with racists, I will defend a person’s right to carry their own opinion.  Do you believe otherwise?

Some team is going to benefit greatly from this mistake by KC.  If his agent has even a modicum of alpha waves going, they are going to focus on her behavior and how overtly and belligerently racist the girl was.  Have him own the situation by explain in great detail the mitigating circumstances while having him go through some sensitivity/anger management training.

Hunt is going to benefit in the long run too, I’m guessing.  He’s now out of his rookie contract and can sign a much more favorable deal financially, even if he has to start with a 1 year incentive laden prove-it deal.

This is not beneficial to Hunt. The best way for him to get more money would have been to finish out his Rookie contract and then get a bigger deal after proving his play on the field and not attracted negative attention off the field, the way Gurley and David Johnson did recently.
