RB Kenneth Walker III - SEA (1 Viewer)

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said the team hasn't yet "cut loose" Ken Walker.

“I think he just continues to just show us who he is,” Carroll said of Walker, who has rushed for 315 yards and four touchdowns in three games since Rashaad Penny was lost for the season. “He’s very clear, he’s a clear guy, and we know who he is and how he sees things. He’s really just validating with the opportunities. I don’t really feel like we cut him loose yet, I think he has big games ahead. We didn’t run the ball well last week. He made a couple of terrific plays, but I think we are going to see even more than we have seen already, and not just in the run game, but the pass game too.” Perhaps Carroll is alluding to Walker's role as a pass catcher in Seattle's offense. He has just three receptions in his three starts. He did, however, lead the team's backfield in pass routes last week against the Giants. Walker should be treated as a borderline top-5 fantasy option for the rest of the year.

Is he worth trading jefferson + for?
Trades are always roster dependent. The formula is Walker + whatever wr would fill for the traded jefferson. Vs Jefferson + the rb you currently have that would be benched for walker. Having said that Jefferson is such a superstar that I would have a hard time trading him for walker..... It would appear to be a lopsided trade.

Kenneth Walker III rushed 26 times for 109 yards and two touchdowns in the Seahawks' Week 9 win over the Cardinals, adding three receptions for 20 additional yards.

The 100-yard rushing effort was Walker's second, as was the two-score effort. With coach Pete Carroll hinting Walker would be "cut loose," he also set new season highs in catches, targets and receiving yards. Those totals remained modest, of course. It was Walker who put the game away, capping the Seahawks' final two drives with one- and five-yard scores, respectively. 78 of Walker's 109 yards rushing came after halftime. Comfortably locked in as an RB1, Walker will be facing the Bucs in Germany for Week 10.

There was a rumour on Twitter and Reddit that Kenneth Walker did not have a passport but that appears to have been fake news.

If I can get a passport same day, I would assume that an NFL player has even better contacts.

Ken Walker rushed 10 times for 17 yards in the Seahawks' Week 10 loss to the Bucs, adding six catches for 55 yards.

Walker was the only back to see a carry for Seattle, but the Seahawks were down two scores at halftime, forcing them to abandon the run game. When Walker was able to get the ball, it often involved him getting hit behind the line of scrimmage. He did, however, save the day with six catches for 55 yards. Walker's role as a receiver continued to grow in Week 10 as he set career-highs in targets, catches, and yards. With receiving value added to his game, Walker will be a script-proof RB1 when he returns from Seattle's upcoming bye week.

Horrible running, but the participation in the passing game is a great sign.

If that were true, that would be a failure of the Seahawks staff and his agent.

Right position, wrong team:

Leonard Fournette nearly missed Buccaneers vs. Seahawks over passport issue
Ah, I have less sympathy for the 27yo 5 year veteran than I would the rookie. Still, that’s part of what a staff does.

Ken Walker (ankle) has been ruled out for the remainder of the Seahawks' Week 13 game against the Rams.

Walker always appeared more doubtful than questionable with his right ankle injury. With Travis Homer (illness) inactive, DeeJay Dallas also dealing with in-game ankle injury and Tony Jones shaken up after a huge third quarter hit, the Seahawks might not only be light on running backs to finish the game, but in needed of making an addition or two during the week. Walker should be considered questionable at best for Week 14 against the Panthers, a brutal blow for fantasy managers during the final week of the fantasy regular season.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said that Ken Walker (ankle) "jammed" his ankle and that "We'll have to see what that means."

Cool, let us know when you find out, coach. Carroll is routinely optimistic about injuries but the rule-out does not bode well for Walker's status. We'll probably find out more about this over the next 72 hours, but for now Walker should be considered questionable for Week 14 against Carolina.

So the FBG update just posted is a report from yesterday stating what we already knew. Sure hope this isn't a bad injury. Need him for the playoffs.

Carroll said Kenneth Walker III has a strain in his foot, not an ankle sprain. Called it "unusual" and he's never heard of something like this before. Said it's an inflammation issue. Next step is trying to manage it this week in practice and he can possibly play next week.

The one player I couldn't afford to lose to injury. Sucks, he's been great and was on his way to another good one yesterday, 3/36. Let's hope he only misses maybe a game but doesn't sound good.

I think he injured it on that first 30yd run. He immediately came off the field and the announcers noticed that he had a hitch in his gait. When he tried to plant and cut on that run from 5yd line is when he knew he was done.

I am not expecting him to play next week, or worse... he toughs it out and we get a RB w/ a bad wheel ROS.

Hoping we get some clarity on the whole Seattle RB situation before waivers run tonight. If I knew Walker was OK I'd relax. If I knew DJD was OK I'd pick him up, even if just to be a handcuff. But absent that -- and I doubt we'll hear much that's definitive in the next few hours -- it's tough to justify spending any waiver priorities/FAAB on that backfield.

The fact that they're signing Wayne Gallman indicates that someone is probably hurt enough to miss this week, presumably Walker, but doesn't necessarily give us any more clarity on who to pick up. I'm still reluctant to burn a claim on Dallas given that he may be out this week

I was looking at their PS.....they have Darwin Thompson (formerly of KC) and Godwin Igwebuike (Lions). Both have been with the team all season. What are the chances one of them gets the call and starts ahead of Jones?

K Walker: "jammed ankle"
T Homer: sprained knee
D Dallas: "high ankle issue"

Tony Jones Jr: 7/14 rush and 2/18 rec after Walker and Dallas went out last week

Unfortunately given Carroll's tendency to be vague and creative with injury updates we likely won't know jack until Friday.

I'll probably throw a $0 bid for Dallas then Jones but I don't expect either to put up anything more than flex numbers in the best case scenario which is bench material.

At least one of the practice squad guys (Wayne Gallman, Godwin Igwebuike and Darwin Thompson) probably gets a callup.

I picked up Deejay Dallas, mostly as a block in case he gets in some FP this week.

Probably choosing between James Cook or Bam Knight unless it becomes clear DD is the Iead back (it won’t be lol.)

Ken Walker (ankle) did not practice Wednesday.

DeeJay Dallas, who also suffered an ankle injury in Week 13, did not practice either. Pete Carroll said Walker "jammed his ankle" last week, so we don't have anything specific to work with. However, he did not return after suffering the injury and was unable to practice to start the week, making it unlikely he suits up for Week 14. If both he and Dallas are out, Tony Jones and Travis Homer would seemingly split Seattle's backfield.

Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said it was "too early to know" if Ken Walker (ankle) or DeeJay Dallas (ankle) would be able to play against the 49ers on Thursday.

Monday and Tuesday injury reports for Walker will probably be the most-searched for information on the site. Carroll added that Walker is "dealing with an old injury that jumped back. He's been through it before, in years past. We just have to get him through it, see if he can play Thursday night."

WOW....Full practice today (Tuesday). Did not expect that...had almost wished they would give him another week. Don't think I can stomach running him out there Thursday night against that SF run defense. For now, have Mostert in front of him in one league and Gus the Bus in another. Good grief.

Starting to look like the Seahawks got cocky arrogant and benched him in a game they thought would be a cakewalk

TNF games seem really short sighted. I'm sure the owners and TV are making a lot of money in the short term.
But players hate it and fans do not like it either. That part could be anecdotal but it's 9 of 10 people I know.

It also over saturates the nfl imo. I'm sure once the bottom line starts shifting on those tnf games they will readjust. If it ever does

It’s either him or I have to start Lat Murray at RB2 in my .5 PPR big money league.

I really can’t stand these Thursday night games, especially at this point of the season

well the good news is in about 12 hours you'll know if this weekend you are looking for a safe floor or swinging for the fences

getting a Thursday night crusher is the best

seeing the win probability drop 20% on Thursdays just about ruins my weekend lol

***************

I don't have anybody going tonight, my first round opponent has KW3

OBVIOUSLY I want to win, but I almost feel sorry for him; dude has lost about 6 starters to IR this year and right now he's dealing with LJax, Pearce, Walker, and Boyd all banged up

dude was 7-2 (#2 seed) and backed in with 5 straight Ls

hoping KW3 has a healthy night, really like him and will be targeting him next year

that D is pretty rough to get points on though

I debating on KW3 vs. Brian Robinson. On one hand, it's the Niners D which is scary, and BRob is going against a lesser D in the NYG's, but he's got Gibson taking touches.
Both at home. I'm starting to lean KW based on that, and the Niners may not have Purdy. This screams close game with lots of run plays for both teams.

I thought his nickname was K-9, no?

I have been looking at this match-up... 49ers defense is terrific, and notably tough on RBs... but, take a look at their schedule and tell me the best rushing offense and/or RB they have faced in 2022. SEA run game and Wlaker should be - by far - the best SF has come up against. Now maybe they are as advertised and Walker puts up a dud, but I'm playing him anyway (over Foremen, Swift, or Dobbins) thinking that a floor game for him is ~50 yds with a better than average chance of falling into the end zone - assuming of course a normal workload and injuries are not a concern going in.

I don't think i can start him unless I have no other options. Putting in an injured RB against that Defense doesn't seem like a good idea. There are a few ways KW gets minimal touches. Re-injury or getting blown out early where Seattle decides to not risk further injury in a game they are likely losing are two scenarios.

I'd start Robinson over him this week without even batting an eye.

In my flex, I need to start either Walker, Lockett or Knight. This is a non-ppr league so it's basically TD dependent. As of now, I am sitting Walker for many of the reasons listed above. Lockett has a TD in 6 straight while Knight is now the lead back but does shed some carries to others. Tearing my hair out.

Michael Knight? From Night rider? Don't start him.

🎲🎲 Rolling the dice tonight. I'm a 20-pt underdog with not many good options.... if Walker can get the volume and a TD or two... that would be fantastic. Right now, I think SEA can play tough, similar to what they did against Carolina last week. The downside is if they have to abandon the run early if they can't stop the opposing offense, which is what happened against CAR. In addition, Homer didn't really light it up against CAR, so I am thinking it's KW's volume to lose.

If the game stays close, it's close I think the volume will be there and Homer didn't exactly light it up last week... but I guess we will see. Good luck to all of you taking the risk!

Homer is a backup, Walker is a homerun waiting to happen. SEA needs this game so they have to commit to the run. If they can keep it close - and they should - my guess would be 20-25 carries for Walker.

Was really hoping Walker would rest up tonight so I wouldn't have to make the call and he could get healthier. Sitting Walker in my most 2 important leagues that own him in. May God have mercy on my soul.
