RB Omarion Hampton, LAC (2 Viewers)

>>>
Harbaugh was also asked about the status of rookie running back Omarion Hampton, who returned to practice last week but was not activated for Sunday's game.
"We opened his window and we certainly wouldn't have done that — his 21-day window — if he wasn't close. Again, feel like he's been on track and let the week play out," Harbaugh said.
Hampton has been on Injured Reserve since suffering an ankle injury in Week 5. He said last week that he was excited to get back on the field at some point and help the Bolts with a playoff push.
"It feels good, feels great just to be back out with the guys. Couldn't ask for nothing better," Hampton said Thursday.
He later added: "I don't know a percentage, but I feel super good. I'm getting back to where I'm at. Getting more comfortable with it, so I feel really good where I'm at."<<<

Linkage

Got no choice in a 14 teamer and McCaffrey on bye to start him.

If he doesn't go, it's goose-egg time or scoop Shipley. Which is probably still goose egg time.

Probably no better options regardless, but will we have a firm status for this week before Sunday's games?

Lol. Same situation with McCaffrey. My only "slightly better" situation is I currently have Worthy starting in my flex. I can wait up until about 7pm CT on Sunday to decide between Worthy and Hampton.

Just fearing that he plays, but only gets about 5-7 carries.

Limited is a good sign, but I'd feel better if he got in a "Full" tomorrow or Saturday. One thing to look for is do they give him Friday off to then practice again Saturday?

I’d assume most teams that have Hampton, also have Vidal.

What are you guys doing here? Starting Hampton with “confidence”?

Do we really think Vidal just disappears into the ether?

I’m in a win and I’m in situation. Have both Hampton and Vidal and leaning towards starting both. I think a lot will depend on if his IR is lifted Sunday before 4pm games but the team doesn’t have to lift it until Monday. Very frustrating situation as I have not other players to flex on MNF. My alternative flex would be Higgins from Texans (I am already starting Collins) or Corum or Spears.

Corum may not be a bad option unless you need serious upside.

Yeah I’m leaning towards this. I will have to choose Hampton or Vidal based on who is starting at kickoff I suppose. Could be a disaster either way just like my whole season.

Questionable for Monday, still on IR

Hampton (ankle) is listed as questionable for Monday's game versus the Eagles, but he remains on injured reserve.

Advice: After Hampton logged a full practice Friday, it signaled that he was closing in on his first game action since Week 5, when he suffered a fracture in his left ankle. On Saturday, numerous NFL insiders, including Jeremy Fowler of ESPN.com, reported that the Chargers were expected to activate Hampton from injured reserve for Week 14. Now that Hampton is deemed questionable, such a procedural move will need to take place by Monday afternoon for him to have a chance to return. Assuming that comes to pass, Hampton is a good bet to retake most of the RB reps from Kimani Vidal, who has dominated Los Angeles' backfield during the former's seven-game absence. - 3:04 PM, Rotowire.com

In a win and in situation but no real viable alternative. Basically him or DK Metcalf in a non-PPR league. I’m an underdog need to take the swing.

Sources: The #Chargers are activating rookie RB Omarion Hampton and he will play Monday night vs the Eagles.

Hampton has been sidelined since suffering an ankle fracture Week 5, but was off to a stellar start with 450 total yards and 3 TDs on 4.8 YPC. Big news for the Bolts.
I don't know what to do. Risk it with Hampton or Monangai? Neither have good matchups.
the Eagles with no Carter isn't that bad. Bears tore it up.

Bears will be running A LOT. Temps in GB like 7 degrees Today.
Hampton won't get enough touches. Plus Chargers probably playing from behind most the game.
I'd start both Bears backs if had them.

It’s 15 degrees now and will be 18 at kickoff. But yes, with the wind it will feel single digits all game.

They have an oline though

I fear broken hearts coming for people who started him. I don't see more than 6-8 touches. Hope he breaks one.

Really hope I am wrong. Would love to start him next week if he gets any type of volume.

I wanted to start him and wished I would over Jeanty...but this is a scouting game (for me) now to see if he's viable for next week.

I think if they plan to give him only 6-8 touches they would have left him inactive another week. I see a 50/50 split or maybe 60/40 split in Hampton's favor
