It won't happen this year, but this kid is gonna be $$$ next year, especially at the GL.
He's the best RB on the roster. Period.

Has a little extra something that D. Harris definitely does not have. There's a shiftiness to his game that you just wouldn't expect from a guy that size.
He is without a doubt the most complete back on the roster. The potential for him to be a true bell cow is there.
I'm not saying anything, but Bloom for example, has Sermon at #9. Stevenson is in Tier 6 at number 56
Harris average 4.1 ypc. Stevenson 4.2.
I own both but I don't see why everyone thinks Stevenson runs away with this. I think there is just as much a chance that someone else is on the roster that is in the mix next year.
I also don't see them leaving Harris on the bench. He is performing well
I'm not saying he replaces him. I'm just noting that the package is there.
Longtime Pats fan here. Watch all the games. Both Harris and Stevenson are going to be key in any kind of playoff run. I expect both to play and perform well. I'd say that Harris remains 1A to Stevenson 1B and it remains more of a 2/3 Harris vs. 1/3 Stevenson.
More than anything I'm excited about the long term potential of Stevenson. He'd be a dynasty target for me no doubt.
That's how i feel mostly too although somewhat disappointed they may cut into each others production from a fantasy perspective
Every rookie every year gets a thread anointing him as the next big thing and probably 95% of the time that is not the case.
Lots of guys look good in the preseason. But let's see how he looks in real games once teams get tape on him and he takes some big hits. Actual season is not as easy as preseason

Harris ruled OUT this week.
So no practice for Stevenson, but it looks like he may clear.
I can't recall how Bill B. deals with rookies in this situation.
Will he trust him minus the reps? Or go with his trusted pet, Bolden?
The rug has been pulled out from under us before with Bill when it comes to RBs.

I'm guessing that all 3 RB's will see the field and get their opportunities to shine. The key here is to shine. All it takes sometimes is showing off your talents and then boom you become Brady the GOAT lol. We know Bolden is gonna be in and get a fair share of targets and 5-7 rushes perhaps with 5-7 catches. Stevenson perhaps 10-12 rushes and 3-4 targets, could be goal line or bust one, and then JJ Taylor fills in for 3-5 rushes. Tough to say which RB will score the most fantasy points between Bolden and Stevenson.
Edit: Bolden may be a slight favorite in week 10, but Stevenson is my handcuff to Harris going forward for now.

Cleveland does not allow much to RBs. NE will have to pass to win (or have the defense and special teams play stellar). I think all three backs will get worked into the game and the coaches will have to parse, evaluate, and adjust what is working as the game goes on. I think CLE will smother the run, so we'll have to see how long NE will stick with it. Also of note is that Trent Brown will be back, so who knows what OL configuration they will go with. That's assuming Brown makes it to the second series of the game.

The longer you can hold out on that decision perhaps the better. I think we can be fairly sure that Bolden will get his points through mostly receptions 5-7 for perhaps 40-50 yards and perhaps a score. We really don't know how much Stevenson will see unless you hear more tomorrow. I'd guessing 10-12 carries, 3-4 targets and a chance for a score. Good Luck - I don't know a thing.
Edit: Harris owner who picked up Bolden then dropped Bolden for Stevenson. I like Stevenson to be Harris' handcuff. This week who knows if its Bolden or Stevenson. They are both in the Flex play arena.

I chose Stevenson for upside. Also Harris owner. Bolden would never replace Harris but Stevenson might. So to future proof myself I chose Stevenson. This week I rather go with dernest Ingram collins though I think…. Close between collins and Stevenson. Just think matchup is not great and not sure how much volume Stevenson will have.

Pretty much spot on. It still would be nice to see Stevenson have a good game accumulating bench points. Agree.

If the Patriots get a lead, I could definitely see Stevenson being the guy to pound the rock. But this week, I'd really be shocked if he got a big load right out of the gate. He didn't practice all week, while Bolden and Taylor did. His pass blocking has been suspect all year, and he had no practice time this week to get any better at it. I just can't see this week being a Stevenson week, even if he does clear protocol, unless the Patriots get a significant lead. ROS, sure, he does have some good running ability, but I still think Harris is better when both are healthy. Stevenson should also get better with more experience, so as your perspective gets longer, he does look better.

Saw Stephenson is active - dropped Bolden for Hines. Felt like a more reliable floor.

In 33 lineups I have RS in 4 and Bolden in 2. "Only" have D'Ernest in a dozen lineups, preferring to pivot to Connor, Lenny and a mish mash of Ingram and others.

Starting In 2 leagues, sitting him in 1. I have no idea what to expect today, feel like every possible outcome is on the table, from a goose egg on up.

I’m deciding between Collins and Stevenson. I am leaning Collins dud to the better matchup.

I'm between Stevenson, Gibson, and McKissic at RB2. Things are grim.
I fear that Stevenson is going to be active but not see much or any playtime unless there's an injury. His pass blocking is his biggest weakness and the Browns pass rush is no joke. BB doesn't want Mac to get blasted... but still there's a chance Stevenson gets the nod and has a solid game.

I have him in several spots where I won't be starting him. But in one spot I am down to him vs JJ Taylor. Not sure how to read the Pats room this morning. In another spot I am deciding between Rhamondre and Jones II or Gio. I'll probably go Gio.

I also went Collins.
If you look at the previous games without Carson, looks like Collins was always the lead back and was down last two games in snap count because of injury in week 6. They tried Penny when he got back but his snap count is decreasing. Him and Homer have not stood out so I don't see any reason why Collins won't get majority of the carries. Probalby not 20+ but I'd say around 15 carries which is more than I can say for Stevenson. Stevenson needs a lot of factors going his way. Does BB have confidence in him without practice ? Did they scheme around Bolden / Taylor? Is Stevenson Emergency Backup? Will they be playing from behind or will they be ahead far enough to allow Stevenson to grind out the clock? All great questions.
You take Stevenson because he had great YPC and you're looking for upside. However, if you're playing for this week, Collins has less questions, more assured volume, and is safer.
With Russ back, I don't think Collins has any less GL opportunities than Stevenson and possibly more since matchup is better.

Stevenson is only average 4.2 ypc and comes with a ton of risk for sure. If i was between bolden and stevenson I would probably lean bolden at this point
Got it. Didn't actually look at his YPC, just assumed it was high due to all the hype around the guy and people saying he looks a lot better than Harris... Which I don't really buy but yeah. Still have him as a handcuff to Harris though cause you never know.

The fact of the matter is RS has had 35 carries. He's been in and out of BB's doghouse, coughed up the ball, and hasn't down very well in pass protection. With Harris out, NE will need someone to run the ball against a team that doesn't give up much on the ground. RS hasn't practiced all week and the Pats will likely have to pass more (and blitz pick up is not one of Stevenson's strengths so far). JJ Taylor is active today, and I would guess NE will split time between Bolden, Taylor, and Stevenson and hope one of them can either consistently get a few yards or can occasionally get a chunk play.
I am expecting a low scoring, field position, defensive game. Not a ton of yards or points and a close lower scoring game. Turnovers could easily be the difference in this one. Not a lot of fantasy production to be had in general, but as far as the NE RB group goes, dividing a small amount of production across multiple players could be the order of the day. I hope I am wrong though.

As a Harris owner I'm playing Stevenson. I thought Stevenson looked good with his 10 carries last week. Maybe tricky BB give Bolden 25 carries, but it's not like Bolden is a great RB. Preparing for a zero but thinking he could possibly get a TD if the Pats use him.

Stevenson could get 5 carries next week though. Coach B is unpredictable with running backs.
The process wasn't wrong. I don't think anyone saw NE completely dominating Browns so thoroughly on both sides of the ball. It was supposed to be a good defense. It ended up a favorable game script for Stevenson. Bolden and Taylor were not going to be the ones who got the ball with this game script.
Don't think anyone doubted his upside, just thought his floor was in question. If I had no other options I definitely would have started Stevenson, but don't blame people who started D'ernest or Ingram over him at all.
