He has had cramps in previous games before, so maybe that again? Just guessing though.
To be fair, I don't think Dallas is disappointed with Javonte. Seems like it worked out for Dallas and Carolina. How did the Cowboys let this guy walk? It’s not like he was expensive.
I say the same thing but in analyzing all the info out there I made what I thought, at the time, was a logical choice not to start him. This of course has changed now as it is clear the split looks like it will be +75% touches going forward. I didn't believe it would be 50-50 but maybe a 60-40 split. A GB team rated 3rd in the league against RB's was enough to scare me away especially after Buffalo put a beat down on them capping his yards the week before. I had 5 different choices to put into flex all of them within a point or two. Rico was 4th or 5th in consideration.I will never be influenced by anyone else's opinion on who to start in fantasy football ever again! Lesson learned, the hard way.
Amazed at what this guy is doing.
Prior to this game, the GB D was considered one of the best. Rico was just ripping through there.
CAR is sooo determined to run the ball too and actually is in the playoff hunt.
Seriously...how many RBs would you rather have ROS ahead of Rico?
Waiver pickup of the year if this continues.

Rico Dowdle is 3rd in the NFL in rushing. His career path is unlike any I've seen at the RB position:
- Was South Carolina's 2nd-leading rusher his final season in 2019 behind Tavien Feaster
- UDFA in 2020
- 7 total carries his first 3 seasons in the NFL
- Didn't start a game until his 5th season
- Is the 33rd-highest paid RB in the NFL (1-year, $2.75m) despite going for over 1,000 yards last season
Yep. Scored more than him despite being the backup for many weeks.Guy in my league traded Jefferson for Dowdle straight up. His RBs were Kamara, Vidal and Bam before that though.
Canales did say he expected Dowdle to practice tomorrowDNP - Quad
Probably veteran rest day but, worth monitoring.
Only the headline number is "among the top paid RB's." His contract is quite backloaded and is basically a bunch of one year options. They could cut him before March and owe him nothing with only a $4.5M dead money hit.Chuba had a great season last year, but seems like the team was a bit too premature in making him one of the top paid RBs in the league.

Rico Dowdle is 1 of 15 RBs to hit both:
+ 3.00 yards after contact per rush
+ 40% rush success rate
(2024-25 data combined, minimum 200 attempts)
Dowdle's yards after contact per rush rate is the highest of this group.
Canales brought Key in during a team meeting too lol.A Rico Dowdle thread and no mention of his "Key n Peele" TD celebration??? WTHeck??
Underdog NFL
Rico Dowdle as a starter:
25-130-2
30-183-0
23-206-1
Saints defense has allowed 6th-most rushing yards to RBs this season.
TD 15 minutes into the day.
League winner as long as he's healthy.
Rico has been the reason for this team's success. QBs aren't growing on trees of course but if the Panthers can get out of their own way and find a real QB this offseason, the sky's the limit.Still think an old Andy Dalton might be better for this offense then Bryce Young. He's got ONE game over 200 yds passing
Counterargument: Panthers offense might be rounding into form, and if Young/McMillan can sustain even a little but, Dowdle will see lighter boxes.Thinking it may be time to sell high.
Faces LAR next week, then a bye week. Playoff schedule ok but end with SEA.
All that said, I'd only be selling REAL high for an RB or WR1 to somebody who is still riding the Rico hype train hard and for a player with a iron clad playoff schedule.
It's certainly possible. In the league I own both Dowdle and TMac I hope you're right.Counterargument: Panthers offense might be rounding into form, and if Young/McMillan can sustain even a little but, Dowdle will see lighter boxes.Thinking it may be time to sell high.

I'm not confident anyone is selling a WR1 for Dowdle. I think he's more of a hold than anything else, or maybe a buy if the team that has him really needs a win in week 14.
