RB starters who are FA's next year (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

In my league, picking the next young RB who get a starting job the following year is golden. That said, is there a site that outlines which players are in the last year of their deals?

Thanks,

FFTOOLBOX CONTRACT PLAYERS

Two possible starters in 2010 due to contracts or other issues that I like are:

Shonne Greene (Age of Jones and Leon Washington Contract Due)

Rashard Mendenhall (Contract of Parker)

In keepers or dynasty these two need to be rostered. Obviously Mendenhall will be rostered in 100% of leagues after his performance this week, but if Greene is on your WW I would pluck him now if you have the space.

Excellent, thanks for the link. What's Addai's status? Any chance Donald Brown becomes the workhorse back there due to Addai leaving or is he going to have to win it straight up?

Addai is under contract thru 2011 he is not going any were next season unless he holds out but I doubt that happens.

That doesn't mean he won't see his # of carries continue to shrink.Lots of folks likely got McGahee cheap in dynasty this year... he and Rice should both be lead backs next season, just not on the same team.

LenDale White is only 24 years-old(same age as Shonn Greene) and a free agent after this season.
There's your answer. He cant be happy about the lack of playing time this year. Houston would be a great fit, but he could end up on a number of teams who are lacking a power RB.Chester Taylor is a FA. He's already 30 so probably wont be a starter unless someone needs a one year stop gap.Norwood is a FA. Few teams would consider him as a starter due to his size but he could get a big role somewhere.Ronnie Brown will be a FA if a new CBA isnt reached in time. If that happens and if Miami doesnt move first. Ricky Williams is old but could fill the void while a rookie develops.Clinton Portis is set to make over 7 million. If he's cut, Betts is capable of handling the load until a replacement is brought in or devolops.McGahee could potentially be cut depending on a number of factors including the future of the cap. If he is, any and every team in need of a feature back should be interested.Justin Fargas will make 1.5 million so there is also a possiblity of getting cut. Probably not reliable as a workhorse but capable of competing for carries somewhere.Addai wont fit in as well with many teams as he does with the Colts offense. The Colts only let Edge go because they gave so much money to Manning and Harrison that they couldnt afford him. I expect them to keep Addai. Although if New England doesnt get anybody special in 2010, it wouldnt surprise me to see them offer a big contract to Addai in 2011 to screw the Colts while helping their team. Faulk, Taylor, and Morris will all be gone by then and they'll certainly miss Faulk.

Ronnie Brown is a free agent this season, while Ricky is signed through next year. I suppose Ricky could be a good fantasy play if Ronnie leaves town, but he'll be 33 next year, so I'd be incredibly wary.

Not too long ago, it seemed like Norwood could be a starter somewhere, but that doesn't seem likely now.Very talented and explosive, but his injury history on limited touches is going to work against him.As you say, he could command a bigger role somewhere else, but not as a workhorse type.

I don't remember which running backs this affects, but if there isn't an agreement on a new CBA and next year becomes an uncapped year then Ronnie Brown will not in fact become a free agent due to the rules that govern how many seasons he has played before he can become a free agent.Long story short is no new CBA means Miami retains Ronnie's rights for one more year regardless of contract or not.
