RBs & Strength of Schedule (1 Viewer)

I justed checked out the strength of schedule article. rbs who fall in the more difficult range include:

LJ

LT

Portis

Rudi

SJax

Tiki

Whomever they choose to be rb in Dallas

Whomever they choose to be rb in Denver

Here are the one with the less difficult.

KJones - new system that favors qbs, not rbs

Benson or TJones - may or may not have a decent qb

McGahee - new system and didn't participate in camps

Gado or AGreen or whomever is in Green Bay

The Jets

SAlexander - oline changes

Do articles like this truly affect the way you view the top 6 listed above versus the last 6 listed? For instance, is there any way you would move kevin jones ahead of portis or rudi simply because of an article such as this one? Would you guess that McGahee could have a comparable season to Rudi simply due to the schedule?

Your feedback would be appreciated.

short answer,no

you should never select a lesser talent jsut because of schedule. they even mention that in the article in the magazine for Footballguys. only if it is a toss up and you can't decide which guy to pick, then go with schedule, or when it comes to trading mid year, you can use that as a tool

I select the best player on the board.

A great player will play well against both good and bad teams....thats why he is a great player.

I haven't read the SOS article, but I find it impossible to determine which teams will have tough defenses and which runners will have a tough schedule at this point in the season. Chicago has a pretty good defense but what if Urlacher tears an ACL in training camp. I'd say the defense wouldn't be nearly as tough without him as with him.

Portis's schedule isn't too terrible. Its more middle of the road.

Plus, week 15 and 16 are awesome for him.
