Real time length of games (1 Viewer)

After this weekends games I would like to see the average length of time it is taking to complete a game this year compared to past seasons. Blame whatever, the scab refs or the review after every play but so far this season the quality and enterrtainment value of watching a game has been very poor due to all the delays. People like us won't change the channel because most of us are die hard, but the casual fan just might.

Anyone else find watching the games to be very tedious and frustrating?

As somebody who just can't miss a minute of every game available to me, I really don't like the Thursday games. That on top of the fact that it feels like they are just dragging them out. It's killing me for my 450am wake up time on the east coast. Oh, well guess it's still better than baseball.

the regular FOX/CBS broadcasts on Sunday afternoons are fine.

It's the Monday, Thursday, and Sunday night (NBC) games that are absolutely brutal to sit through. Over-produced, extra long tv timeouts, the whole shebang

Maybe it is more the night games that have been so drawn out.

I hear you guys on the staying up late with an early morning coming.

Reminds me of this:

"Too bad we have to get old huh Stallion" -Apollo Creed

I just hate TD!!

((TV TIMEOUT))

Moved up kickoff that sails through the end zone with no return.

((TV TIMEOUT))

Back to game 22 minutes after the score.

I actually think MLB does an incredible job engaging their fans and making their games accessible. Much, much better than the NFL.
I agree, and I do like to watch baseball. I just can't keep up with it every night when they play 8pm games. Wasn't trying to knock a sport just the difficulty to follow it.
Yeah and I agree with that - I can't watch a game every night for 5 months. I have been watching more and more though just because of how easy it is to watch games in HD for a relatively low price.

Took me about 45 minutes to watch it without missing a play. There is this magical "new" device called a DVR that allows you to record the game and fast forward through all the garbage.

However, if you're watching in-time or at a game it's a real drag.As for DVR might as well save the effort [such as it is] and watch the super-shortened versions on NFLN.

Why watch a game live? Why would I want to watch the super-shortened version on NFLN when I'd still have to sit through commercials?
