For a small pot of chicken stew

Three chicken breasts.

Cut them up into a 2 inch cubes

Toss chicken into flour

Coat the bottom of your stewpot with olive oil

Chop up one onion into the olive oil and a few garlic cloves

Roast the garlic and the onion into the olive oil on medium high

Add into olive oil while it is roasting the garlic and onion - half of tea spoon of Salt, quarter tea spoon of pepper,

half of a tea spoon of rosemary - quarter tea spoon of ginger

Stir all the ingredient together in the olive oil until it browns a little

Then you put the chicken chunk into the olive oil , and keep turning each chicken chunk until its a little brown on every side

Fill your pot with about 6 to 8 cups of water

Stir it all up and you put a bay leaf in it

Bring it to a boil then turn it down to low so it simmers

Cook that for one hour

After an hour you put potatoes and carrots into the stew

Cook that for another hour

If you want to do dumplings you can put biscuits on top for ten minutes
